PART OF HOUSE DAMAGED — Prompt action by the Hensall fire department kept a fire Monday mor-
ning at a Hay township farm house contained to a back room. The house is owned by Peter Oud and oc-
cupied by the John Gardiner family.

Prompt action by the Hensall fire department was credited with containing a fire Tuesday
morning at the home of John
Gardiner. The property is owned
by Peter Oud, RR 2, Hensall.
Hensall firemen were able to
contain the fire. to the back room
of the frame house. Damage from
water and smoke was heavy to
the remainder of the house.
All furniture and appliances
belonging to the Gardiner family
were removed from the house
and were not damaged.
Cause of the fire is unknown
and no estimate of damage was
available at press time.
Mr. Gardiner is an employee of
McKinley Farms and Hatcheries.
