Bayfield
Minor Soccer
Thursday last Bayfield Atoms,
Minor Soccer team went to
Seaforth. They all turned out and
played a very good game, The
young boys showed their
determination to win scoring 2
goals in the first twenty minutes,
and held on to the lead until just
before the end when Seaforth
scored 2 goals ending the game in
a tie.
Goals were scored by David
Telford and Trevor Scotchmer.
John Garrett played an excellent
game in goal. The Atoms play St.
Columban in Bayfield on Tuesday
June 28.
The Pee Wees of Seaforth came
to Bayfield and despite the 5-1
loss for Bayfield the boys played
a good hard fought game. Paul
Deelstra scored Bayfield Pee
Wees only goal.
Andrew Cooper in goal led his
team very well. The Pee Wee's
travel to St. Columban on
Monday June 27 for their next
game.
Men's Slowpitch
The men's slowpitch ball teams
met each other last weekend with
the following scores recorded;
Bayfield Lions versus Paul
Bunyan with the victory going to
Paul Bunyan 24.17;. Kitchigami
Camp met the Bayfield
Knighthawks with the
Knighthawks emerging with a 32-
2 score; Old Homestead Camp
met Varna and ended up vic-
torious over Varna with the score
of 20-5; Blue Anchor played
Pinelake Camp with Blue Anchor
claiming top honours with a 24-20
score.
The teams meet next Saturday
evening at 7 p.m. with Kit-
chigami Camp at Pinelake
Camp; Bayfield Knighthawks at
Paul Bunyan; Bayfield Lions at
Varna and Old Homestead at

Trinity Church
Holy Communion was
celebrated on Sunday at Trinity
Anglican Church with the Rector,
Rev. Wm. M. Bennett as
celebrant., Assisting the Rector
at the 10:00 a.m. service were
Philip Du Boulay and Andrew
Erickson.
Collection was received by
Howard Lansing and Morgan
Smith. Mr. Smith also read the
lesson for the second Sunday in
Trinity.
The memorial flowers were
placed in the Church by Mrs.
Hugh Crosby of Moretown in
memory of her sister Mrs. Nan
Howard.
In keeping with Father's Day
the Rector's sermon was based
on "Roots", the family roots of
Jesus.
Bridal shower
Mrs. Flossie Talbot, Mrs.
Rosemarie Taman, Mrs. Rose
Scotchmer and Mrs. Ann Wild
held a miscellaneous bridal
shower on Wednesday evening
June 15 to honour bride -elect,
Miss Pauline Armstrong, whose
wedding takes place on Saturday
July 9 in Knox Presbyterian
