The weather was good and although they didn't bring home too many fish they have some good fish stories to tell. Mrs. Lloyd Rader, Mrs. Glen Rader, Heather and Alan, Mrs. Irvin Rader, Mrs. Dave Rader and Stacey attended a miscellaneous shower for Debbie Marshall, bride -elect of July at the home of Mrs. ' Wendell Gamble, London, Sunday. A large number from Zion Lutheran church attended the .Dedication Service of Goderich church and the Festival Service, Sunday. Dashwood Senior Citizens' picnic will be held at the pavilion Monday at 6 p.m. Bring a cup and cutlery. Mrs. Lloyd Edighoffer Mit- chell, Mrs. Clayton Ankeman and Miss Lyda Sitter, both of Waterloo, were Sunday supper guests at the Earl Guenther home. Mr. & Mrs. Joe Wragg and baby daughter are getting settled t in their home purchased from Lee Anderson, p Mrs. Irvin Rader accompanied Mrs. Fred Miller, Zion and Sharon Rader, London, to Grand Bend, Monday, where they visited with Mr. & Mrs. Wellwood Gill. Mrs. Ernest Koehler is staying 'at the home of her daughter Mrs. Bob Hayter as she had the misfortune to fracture a bone in her foot. Ernest Koehler is a patient in South Huron Hospital. Mrs. Hilda Wein has been released from South Huron Hospital. Miss Vickie Miller left Wed- nesday for Brazil, South America, to join "Holiday On Ice" where she expects to be for the next year. Dashwood WI The 4-H girls were guests of the Dashwood WI at their June meeting for Family and Con- sumer Affairs with Mrs. Gordon Bender, convener. The girls modelled their caf- tans, jumpsuits and gowns they made in their 4-H project "Clothes for leisure wear". An exhibit was on display by Dash- wood Club 2. Gifts were presented to the leaders and girls receiving county, provincial and advanced honors. Current events prepared by Mrs. Irvin Rader were on display. Mrs. Ray Rader presided for he business. Ladies' Aid Group 3 with Mrs. Lovella Tiernan convener was in charge of the Birthday Party at the Blue Water Rest Home, Wednesday, for the Ladies' Aid meeting. Mrs, Lorne Genttner, president, welcomed every one and a short program followed. Numbers by the Junior choir; Sue Ann Schroeder sang and played the guitar; Mrs. Hilda Rader gave two readings; the Rader sisters, Carol and Bar- bara, numbers on piano and guitar; Jayne Hayter solos ac- companying herself on the piano; Carol Rader, piano selections. Mrs. Mellecke conducted closing devotions with a meditation on "Fear". Three girls, Sherri Stade, Elizabeth Datars and Jayne Hayter sang "Evening Prayer". Following the Hymn of Grace group 3 served birthday cake and ice-cream. Those having bir- thdays were Mrs. Bowman, Mrs. Hogarth, Mrs. Stirling, Mr, McAllister, Mrs. Sch- wartzentruber and Mrs. Munn. Mrs. Genttner conducted a short business meeting Twenty- one members were present. The Altar Guild reported 33 visits, 11 treats and two flower plants. The new Guild is Mrs. Ray Rader and Mrs. Earl Keller. It was decided to have a bakeless bake sale. The meeting closed with the Lord's Prayer. Citizens News, June 15, 1977 Hensall Unit2 U.C.W. The June meeting of Unit 2 of Hensall United Church was held at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Carl Payne, with twelve members present. Mrs. Edison Forrest presided opening with a poemby Robert Service, "My Friends". "Distraction of Little Things" was the theme of the devotional led by Mrs. Cecil Pepper who also assisted at the piano. Too much thought is given to big things in 1 Page 15 life and not enough to the small details. Two hymns, "God reveals His Presence" and "0, Jesus I have promised" were sung, roll call answered and offering dedicated. The business session was conducted by Mrs. Payne. Lunch on June 20, our entertainment evening, was planned and the details on the Auction Sale, August 13 were announced. The Beef Bar -B -Q yielded a good profit to be put towards the new stained-glass windows and the Manse Fund.
