Golden Glimpses
Another one of those quiet
weeks has just passed. However,
we are enjoying some of the long
awaited showers which everyone
all over the area has been hoping
for.
On Thursday a polling booth
will be set up in the Home for all
Residents of the Blue Water Rest
Home and Maplewoods apart-
ments in order that they may cast
their ballots. Both Mr, Riddell
and Mr. McKinley have visited
the residents in the hope that they
will cast their ballots in their
favour. Come next week at this
time we will know what the out
come was.
The sympathy of residents and
staff is extended to the family of
the late Mrs. Margaret Hunkin.
Residents who have been out
enjoying visits with families and
friends are Mrs. Alice Thompson,
Mr's. Mary Sturley, Mrs. Willa
74, Cii,grches
Brock, Mrs. Mabel Gossman,
Mrs. Emma Bennewies and Mrs.
Alma Southcott.
Bingo was played on Friday
evening followed by refresh-
ments.
The Sunday evening chapel
service was conducted by Rev.
John Campbell of the church of
God, Grand Bend. Mr. Douglas
Steckle presided at the organ and
accompanied the children's
choir. Mr. Paul Tuck favoured
with a tuba number. Mr. David
Wilson read the psalm, Miss
Debra Snider sang a solo and
Miss Kathy Steckle gave a
reading.
