and Ruth Moore who arrived
Sunday from their winter
residence in Vero Beach, Florida
on the Atlantic Ocean. Also to
Miss Kay Reid who is back after
a five week vacation in England;
to Professor Walter and Mrs.
Thompson of London who are at
their home in the Village, and to
Pat and Wynn Graham who have
returned safely from a ten day
vacation visiting their eldest
daughter Miss Barbara in
Surrey, British Columbia.
Mrs. Jeanne Bennett was
honoured at a surprise luncheon
at the Bei -miller Inn by her
family, Saturday at noon, on the
occasion of her birthday. Her
husband Rev. William Bennett,
son Neil of London and daughter
Sally of Strathroy were joined at
the Inn by her son. Rev. Robert
Bennett and his wife Cathy of
Chesley who had all arranged the
lovely surprise for her.

Andrew, Luanne and Lydia
visited friends in Port Huron,
Mich,, Sunday afternoon.
On Thursday last, Mr. & Mrs.
Lloyd A. Westlake attended a
dance in honour of the opening of
the Police College in Aylmer.
Friday afternoon, they, along
with their daughter-in-law Judy
(Mrs. Rick Westlake) of London
attended the very impressive
Official Opening Ceremonies.
Mr. Rick Westlake, London,
spent the weekend with his
parents, Mr. & Mrs. Lloyd A.
Westlake and sister Catherine
Ann and brother Paul.
Mrs. Milvena Erickson visited
Tuesday with her sister, Mrs.
Norma Stewart, RR 2, Ripley.
Mr. Francis Lougheed, a York
University student of Music is
staying with the Lloyd Westlake
family for the summer while
employed by Dry Dock Marina.
He was also with the Westlakes
last year.
Mrs. Frank Boyce (Margaret
Armstrong) has received word of
the death of her brother Raney
Armstrong of Moose Jaw,
Saskatchewan. Mr. Armstrong,
85, is also survived by a sister
Marjorie in Goderich, a sister
Rose in Hensall and two brothers,
Robert and John Armstrong.

attended the Graduation from
Nursing School of their daughter
Catherine Ann, and the dinner
and dance at Maple Tree Farms.
Sunday afternoon, at the home
of her grandparents John and
Margaret Wain, Brenda
Margaret, six month old
daughter of Arthur and Janet
(Wain) McDougall was baptised
by Rev. William M. Bennett.

Trinity Anglican
Holy Communion was
celebrated in Trinity Anglican
Church on Mother's Day, Sunday
morning, with the Rector, Rev.
William M. Bennett as celebrant.
Assisting the Rector were Philip
Du Boulay and Andrew Erickson,
Brown Higgins and Morgan
Smith received the offering.
Sunday next (May 15) Holy
Communion will again be
celebrated by Rev. Bennett. The
Bishop has requested that all
churches in the Diocese, mark
the opening of the 118th Session of
the Synod of the Diocese of Huron
by celebrating the service of Holy
Communion.

Children of Trinity Sunday
School are ren incied of the
Children's Festival in Saint Pauls
Cathedral, London on Saturday,
May 14. Those who are planning
to attend are asked to meet at
Trinity Church at 9:15 a.m. You
are also informed that lunch will
be provided for you at the
Cathedral. A full day is planned
for the children, including magic,
puppets, games and songs.

Scouts camp out
Scout leadersDavidRenner and
Mike Ritchie took the Scout troop
camping on Friday night and
Saturday at the Boy Scout Camp
near Goderich. The Cub Pack,
along with their leaders, Alan
Yates, Carol Fisher and David
Yates joined the Scouts on
Saturday and with many other
Scouts in Huron District held a
tree planting bee.

The members of Unit 2, U.C.W.
of St. Andrews United Church are
reminded of their regular
meeting on Wednesday, May 18,
rather than Wednesday, May 11,
the usual meeting night. You are
asked to please plan to attend so
that plans may be finalized for
