Miss Sharon Rader, London,
and Mrs. Irvin Rader visited with
Mr. & Mrs. Wellwood Gill, Grand
Bend, Thursday.
Lloyd Rader was pleasantly
surprised Saturday evening when
relatives and friends from
London, Stratford, Woodham,
Hensall and Dashwood called to
celebrate his appraching bir-
thday. The evening was spent
playing cards followed by a
buffet lunch.
Mr. & Mrs. Art Koessel,
Lansing, Mich.: are visitors with
Mr. & Mrs. Clayton Pfile.
Youth Retreat
Daniel and Jonathan Mellecke,
Jayne Hayter and Mrs. Shiela
Miller attended a Youth Retreat
at Stratford over the weekend
where there were over 200 youth
in attendance. The theme was,
"Who am I God? Who is my
brother?" Dr. Waldo Werning,
professor from the seminary at
Fort Wayne, was the guest

The Bayfield II Bedwarmers
held their seventh and final
meetings on April 20 at Mrs,
Merner's home.
We began the meeting with the
4-H pledge and roll call which
was "Give plans for Your Next
Sewing Project at Home" or
"Name one new Serving.
Technique that you have learned
during this project". We
discussed our Club exhibit for
Achievement Day. Teri Weber
demonstrated the proper way to
slip stitch a hem on a woven
fabric and Mrs. Merner showed
us ° how to put lace on tricot.

Merner for leading another
successful 4-H Club.

Bible study, singing and
fellowship were enjoyed
throughout the three days.
Senior Citizens
Dashwood Senior Citizens held
their meeting April 18 with 32
present, Thepresident, J. M.
Tiernan, conducted the business.
Projects were discussed and New
Horizon Grants for same will be
requested. An invitation to a
Seminar at Grand Bend May 4
was read. Hilda Rader was
selected as delegate to the
Convention in Hamilton in
August. Donations for use of the
hall and a P.A. system were
approved,
Following a sing song led by
Nola Love, cards and crokinole
were enjoyed. Lunch was in
charge of group 2 with Laura
Miller actin: convener.
COMING SOON — The musical "Oliver" will be presented at the public school on Thursday and all last
week the students participating went over and over their lines, songs, entrances and exits.
