Mr. & Mrs. Ross Love spent last week at Clinton with their grandchildren, Randy, Rhonda and Ricky Lobb while their parents, Fred and Kathy were on a Caribbean Cruise. Mr, & Mrs. Irvin Rader were Sunday visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Fred Miller and girls, Zion. Mr. & Mrs. John deNiet and Tina, Willowdale, spent the weekend with Mr. & Mrs. Irvin Rader and other relatives. Mrs. Cora Gaiser, Mr. & Mrs. Jack Gaiser, Kim and Lyn, Mrs, Don Gaiser, Faye and Paul ac- companied by Mrs. Addie Morlock, Exeter, and Mrs. Nola McEwen, Ailsa Craig, attended the Mein -Poland wedding at St. John's United Church, Camp- bellford, Friday evening and the reception at the Legion Hall. The bride is Mrs. Cora Gaiser's granddaughter. Mrs. Gaiser returned to Kitchener with Rev. & Mrs. Bruce Seebach for a visit. Miss Eleanor Salmon spent the weekend with pastor and Mrs. Frank Morgret, Rhineland. L.L.L. Rally The Lutheran Laymen's League Rally was held in Zion Lutheran Church Sunday, August' 17, with the theme "Freedom in Christ". Speaker for the day was Dr. A. Stanfel, Kitchener, who spoke on the work of the L.L.L. Ed Becker, Stratford, District Lutheran Hour Chairman, spoke on the progress of the Lutheran Hour. Nearly a hundred sat down to a supper prepared and served by Group 1 of the Ladies' Aid with Mrs, Lorne Becker, convener. Rev. Mellecke had closing devotions, 4-H Meeting The Little Rippers held their sixth meeting April 13 at the home of Mrs. Maxine Miller with seven girls present. Following opening exercises Mrs. Sheila Miller, demonstrated sewing in sleeves. The girls decided their club's exhibit will be "Fabrics and Finishes for Leisurewear" and the Fashion Show will have a commentator. Cathy and Cindy worked on the commentary while the other members worked on their gar- ments. Zion Youth Wet The Youth of Zion Lutheran church met at the home of Eleanor Salmon Sunday evening, April 17. Pastor Mellecke opened the meeting with a hymn followed by scripture reading, the Easter story from Luke and prayer. He took for the topica part of the Liturgy. Mrs. Lorne Genttner, president, dealt with the business. Twenty-five members answered the roll call. The Altar Guild reported 32 visits and two phone calls. The new Guild is Mrs. Charles Martene and Mrs. Erna Schroeder. Mrs. Genttner thanked all who had helped with the basement and kitchen, A letter from Country Playhouse was tabled until May. Group 2 will be in charge of a Mother and Daughter pot luck supper in May. Mrs. Nancy Rader had closing Devotions and the meeting was brought to a close with The Lord's Prayer. 4-H Meeting The sixth meeting of Dashwood Club 2 was held at the home of Mrs. Earl Keller. The leaders discussed and demonstrated sewing in sleeves, sewing on buttons, hems and slipstitching. Next meeting will be held at the community centre, April 18. The seventh meeting of Dash- wood Club 2 was held Monday, April 18, at Dashwood Com- munity Centre. The leaders discussed Evaluating garments, Achievement Day and judging fabrics, seams and trims. An organization meeting for Achievement Day will be held April 26 at the community centre. Annual Choir Meeting The choir of Zion Lutheran Church held their annual meeting recently following practice.
