The United Church Women of
Calvary held their April meeting
Tuesday with the Stewardship
Finance Leadership Develop-
ment committee in charge with
Mrs. Jessie Rader chairlady,
with an Easter Message. Mrs.
Syd Neeb read the scripture
followed with prayer by Rev.
Bruce Guy.
Kim Gaiser played a piano
selection. Mrs. Letta Taylor a
poem "The Crowning Wonder".
A film, God's Easter Plan, was
shown after which was group
discussion.
Mrs. Hugh Boyle, president,
presided for the business.
Eighteen members answered the The Sunshine committee is Mrs.

Hydro and water donate
gift to Ladies Nite
Funds will be made available
immediately to pay Wajax
Industries for the new bucket
truck purchased by the Zurich
Hydro and Water system. The
decision was made at the regular
meeting of the village utilities.
The Hydro account of $43,219.17
and the water account of $1,170.44
were passed as presented.
The Zurich Hydro system
decided to donate a gift to the
O.E.L. Ladies nite April 22.

Regier and Annie Finkbeiner of the Zurich Senior Citizens Club took
advantage of some old tyme music to try their hands at a round or

Zone tight seniors
hold Dashwood rally
Zone 8 of the Senior Citizens
held a rally in Dashwood at the
community centre Thursday,
April 14. Approximately 130 were
in attendance. The Rally opened
with 0 Canada followed by
Devotions by Rev. Mayo
Mellecke. Mrs. Mary Grigg,
president of Zone 8, presided.
Following lunch, honorary
president, Lena Lockhart spoke
briefly. Cecil Desjardine brought
greetings from Stephen Township
while Clare Deiche'rt brought
greetings from Hay Township.
`Henry Adkins won the door prize.
The president and vice-
president for USCO namely E.T.
Smith and Leslie Cooke, both of
Toronto, discussed Senior
Citizens activities and how they
were started right up to the New
Horizons grants.
There will be a picnic at
Goderich Harbor park August 7.
The fall Rally is at Brussels,
October 12. The Convention for
Sunlight
all Ontario is scheduled at
Hamilton August 15-17. The
USCO flag was on display. It is
yellow, for Golden Age; white for
the sign, inside a maple leaf
USCO; and blue for True Blue
Canadian.
Public meeting
to duscuss
. Friedsburg Days
A public meeting will be held at
Dashwood community centre
Monday, April 25, at 8:30 and the
committee urges the people of
Dashwood and the surrounding
communities to attend to discuss
holding Friedsburg Days for '77.
Adequate interest must be in-
dicated at this time if plans will
continue for this event.
