Sewers" met Tuesday, March 22,
for their third meeting. Present
were 11 members, our two
leaders and one visitor, Cindy
Talbot,
We opened our meeting with
the 4-H pledge and we were then
shown how and also had a chance
to sew darts, plain seams, french
seams, flat -fell seams and top
stitching. We closed with our 4-H
motto. Our next meeting will be
Tuesday, March 29 in the
Municipal Building.
Brownies
Wednesday afternoon the
Brownies held a White Elephant
Sale and a Tea Party in the town
hall. They also had a very at-
tractive table of homemade
cookies and squares and were
responsible for selling the ar-
ticles and serving of the fancy
decorated cupcakes and coffee
and tea. Eighty-nine dollars was
realized from a fun afternoon;
half of which will go to Bunny
Bundle to help crippled kids and
the other half is to go towards the
purchase of a Brownie flag.
The leaders would like to say
thanks to all those who donated
articles for the sale and also a
thank you to the fellow who kept
the fire going.
Brown Owl Carol Penhale
called to tell us that beginning on
Wednesday, April 6, the Brownies
will meet from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in
the Trinity Church Parish Hall.
She also extends an invitation to
the parents and friends of the
Tweenies to their enrolment
which will take place on April 6.

Trinity Anglican
Sunday morning worship
service in Trinity Anglican
Church with the Rector, Rev.
William M. Bennett in charge.
Harry Baker read the scripture
reading for the Fifth Sunday in
Lent. Ernie Hovey and Morgan
Smith received the offering,
The Rector spoke on "The
Really Beautiful Time" of ones
life, and said he felt that the
really beautiful time is when one
stops condemning and shows
compassion.
He also announced that the
beautiful sounds of the Carillon
will be heard over the village
again. The service man had been
to the church and instructed three
men of the Church in the proper
operation of the Carillon.
Once again, Viola Cadger, in
the absence of the regular
organist, performed admirably.
St. Andrews

Andrews United Church met

men of the Church prepare, serve
and clean up after and from all
accounts, it's a real success.
