The directors and agents are shown above. Back, left, agents Elgin Hen- drick and Glenn Webb, directors Herb Beierling, Donald Campbell, The March meeting of the Zurich U.C.W. was held last Wednesday afternoon with 28 members and 2 visitors present. Mrs. Beatrice Rader opened with a poem. Mrs. Dorothy Koehler gave the meaning of Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wed- nesday followed by scripture and prayer. Mrs. Rader and Mrs. Ken Breakey rendered two duets My Great Redeemer and Blessed Calvary accompanied .by Mrs. Milton Oesch. Mrs. Ross Johnson gave a short talk on Lent, Victory and Defeat. Lent should be for us a time of self-denial and re -commitment to Christ. Be it Lent or any time of the year we will have great Cecil Desjardine, Arnold McCann and Leonard Erb. Marinated carrot salad 2 lbs. carrots, cut in diagonal slices, 1/4 inch thick 1 medium onion, thinly sliced 1 medium green pepper, in strips 1/2 (10oz) can tomato soup 1/4 cup sugar 1/2 cup salad oil 1/2 tsp dry' mustard one third cup vinegar 1/z tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper Cook carrots in boiling salted water until just tender, about 6 to 8 minutes (do not overcook). Drain. Add onion rings and green pepper strips. In a small jar combine remaining ingredients. Shake to blend, pour over vegetables. Marinate several hours or overnight in refrigerator.
