Pee wees split with Blyth

Zurich 1, Blyth 0
On Wednesday night just 48
seconds after the opening faceoff
Paul Jonston, Number 4, scored
what poved to be the winning and
only goal of the game. Dave Erb
assisted the goal.
Although numerous op-
portunities were there, that was
the only goal scored. One penalty
each was called on both teams.
Both goaltenders were supperb
so it was a very close game.
Zurich 1, Blyth 10
Saturday afternoon just wasn't
Zurich's day for playing hockey.
Blyth socred three goals in the
first period, two in the second and
five in the third.
Six penalties were called
during the game and five of these
were on Zurich.
Brian Horner managed to score
a goal in the third period. Dave
Erb and Paul Johnston assisted
on •it.
Win tourney

Zurich 11, Goderich 2
Saturday, February 26, Zurich
travelled to Bayfield to wallop
Goderich 11-2. Leading the Zurich
attack with two goals each were
Mark Kirk, David Erb, Paul
Johnston and Dean Armstrong
with singles going to Brian
Horner, Danny Becker, and Paul
Overholt.
Scoring for Goderich in the
losing cause were John Peters
and Mike Chisholm.
Zurich 7, Monkton 4
Saturday evening Zurich Pee
Wees returned to Bayfield to win
their second game of the day over
Monkton.
Scoring for Zurich were Mark
Kirk and Brian Horner with two
apiece. Scoring singles were
Robert Grenier, David Erb and
Dean Armstrong.
Replying for the losers were
Willie Smith with two and Brent
Royekaet and Dow Wilson with
singles.
Mark Kirk received a trophy
for being the Most Valuable
Player for Zurich in this game.
Zurich 6, Bayfield 3
Sunday, February 27, Zurich
Lions Pee Wees won the "A"
Trophy by defeating Bayfield 6-3.
At 1:07 of the first period
Zurich opened the scoring with
David Bell pulling the trigger,
assisted by Paul Johnston. Brian
Horner came back again for
Zurich scoring two with David
Erb assisting on one:
With 53 seconds gone in the
second period David Erb lit the
red light once more.
Bayfield started a come back
on a goal by David Sturgeon.
Zurich scored again this time
with Brian Horner ripping the
cords.
Zurich fired first in the third
with Dean Armstrong scoring
assisted by Danny Becker and
Robert Grenier.
Bayfield never gave up as
Ricky Johnston and David
Sturgeon each scored one. This
ended the scoring in the game.
