She has agreed to help us out and we are very grateful, as with 30 little girls all eager to learn, we find it a handful at times. Tawny Owl had made some very pretty Valentine Cookies. w and Julie Porter passed them around. The sixers served freshie and we had a little party. We closed with taps. Our sincere thanks to the mothers who come to the L.A. meetings. Wednesday night, February 7, they were just terrific testers for some badge work. The Brownie Badges cannot be tested by leaders but must be outsiders. The executive of the L.A. have been most kind and encouraging to the leaders this year and we appreciate it all very much. The above was to have been in last week's news. We must apologize for not including it, but to let you in on the "why it wasn't" is because Brown Owl left it at our door—the wind apparentlycaught it— Wednesday evening our son found it blowing around the "back forty". Personals Mr. & Mrs. Bob Davidson of Windsor and Sam Wallis of Watford were weekend guests of their daughter, son-iri-law and cousin, Mr. & Mrs. Bud Sturgeon. She also said a very sincere thank you to Captain Cox of the Clinton Fire Department and to Clinton's Police Chief Lloyd Westlake for giving of their time and for all the courtesies shown to them.
