Citizens News, February 16, 1977 Page 13 Rec. committee discusses park A special meeting of the Zurich Recreation, Parks and Com- munity Centre board was held January 26 to commence preparation of a site plan for the proposed municipal park in the village. Peter Rumble, Planning Technician for the Ausable- Bayfield Conservation Authority attended the meeting to outline the Authorities plans for the area and to obtain the board's input on the matter. Representation had been in- vited from the Agriculture Society to attend as they own part of the property tentatively proposed for the park, but probably due to weather con- ditions no one from that organization was able to attend the meeting. As a result, the community centre board refused to commit themselves to anything as they feel it is imperative the plan be developed with the co-operation of the Agriculture Society. Mr. Rurpble will prepare an initial site plan from the consenus of opinions expressed at the meeting and in about a month another meeting will be called to receive input from the Agriculture Society and any necessary alterations will be made.
