Steve Corbett" of London spent the weekend with his parents Mr. & Mrs. Ross Corbett and Jeff. Mr. & ..Mrs. David Kyle and Mrs: Nora Soidan returned home after spending a three week's holiday in Florida. Mr. Burt Coleman of London visited with his mother Mrs. Gladys Coleman and brother Ivan on Saturday. Rev. W.D. Jarvis conducted service in Carmel Presbyterian Church on Sunday. His sermon subject was "If I do nort Love". Miss Brenda Pepper presided at the piano. The annual congregational meeting which was to be held January 28 has been postponed until a later date owing to weather conditions. Mr. Earl Love is a patient in South Huron Hospital, Exeter, where he is receiving treatment. Mrs. James McEwen is a patient in University Hospital, London. Vestry meeting The annual Vestry Meeting of St. Paul's Anglican Church, Hensall was held at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Frank Forrest, January 25. Rev. G. A. Anderson opened the meeting with Prayer. After the financial statement was ap- proved the election of officers took place. Rector's warden -- E. J. Roberts; Peoples warden -- Frank Forrest; Treasurer -- Mr. E. J. Roberts; Vestry clerk -- Clark Forrest; Lay delegate to Synod Clark Forrest; Sub- stitute - E. J. Roberts; Board of Management -- all members of the congregation; Church care -- Mrs. Forrest; Organist -- Mrs. Forrest, Plans were made for the Centennial Service to be held in June. She opened the meeting with a poem and prayer. Mrs. Burt Thompson was in charge of the Devotional "God Answers Prayers". Mrs. Rochus Faber read the Scipture. Mrs. Hyde introduced the study book with parts taken' "by Mrs. Thompson: "The Changing Family in Canada" and "Con- cerns For The Family". Mrs.Malcolm Dougall gave the chapter -"Marriage and Sexuality". Mrs. Clarence Volland gave the chapter "Responsibility For Children". Mrs. Edith read several passages of scripture. The Devotional concluded with a message on "Neighbourliness and What Our Church is Doing to Help" and a poem on "Winter" by Mrs, Bert Thompson followed by prayer. Mrs. Hyde announced the World Day of Prayer will be held in Carmel Church March 4 at 2:30 p.m. The Synodical will be held in Knox Presbyterian Church, Stratford, April 12 and 13 when Mrs. Rochus Faber will be the Delegate for the District. Mrs. Hyde gave a report of the recent meeting held in First Presbyterian Church, Seaforth. The Spring Rally will be held at Belgrave in May and the March meeting of the W.M.S. will be held March 7 at 2 p.m. Mrs. Hyde reported for the Bible Society. Following the minutes and Roll call the meeting concluded with the Lord's prayer. Ladies' Aid President, Mrs. Clarence Volland presided for the regular meeting of the Ladies' Aid and opened the meeting with Meditation and Prayer. Business concerning the church was discussed. Anniversary A very enjoyable evening was spent on Saturday at the Hensall arena when the family of Rolly and Marg Vanstone entertained neighbours and friends in honour of their 25th wedding an- niversary.
