In four starts, the Zurich
Bantams came up with two wins,
one tie and one loss.
Zurich 4, Grand Bend 4
In this exciting battle, . Grand
Bend kept ahead until the last
minute of play, when Zurich
pulled their goalie to gain the tie.
The first period saw a goal by
Mark Willert for Grand Bend. In
the second frame, Grand Bend
scored again from Carl Wilde,
but Robert Willert found the
range, aided by Mike Haggitt.
Again, Grand Bend scored from
Carl Wilde, but Zurich put out a
good effort with Kerry Bedard
scoring unassisted and Robert
Willert tieing the game, aided by
Kris Bedard.
In the last period Grand Berid
went ahead on a goal by Guy
Wilde, but Zurich gained the tie
on a goal by Robert Willert from
Len Van Wonderen, with six
attackers.
Pt. Edward 8, Zurich 2
Zurich fell by the wayside,
when they met the Pt. Edward
crew. Before the first period was
half over Pt. Edward notched
three goals. Then in the second
frame, Zurich only managed to
get two goals against Pt.
Edward's four. Kerry Bedard
scored, assisted by Chris
Denomme and Jim Willert; and
Flyers
defeated by
Watford
The Zurich Flyers went down to
defeat last Sunday as Watford
destroyed them by a score of 12 to
4. However, the Flyers were
playing under a definite handicap
as only nine players showed up
for the game in Watford while the
opposition had 15 players.
In the first period Zurich
opened the scoring at the three
minute mark with a goal by Steve
Bedour, assisted by Ken Smale.
The remainder of the first
period was a closely fought battle
but Watford did manage to score
twice more before the period
ended.
In the second period Watford
went on a scoring binge scoring
five times before Richard Schilbe
managed to bring Zurich back
into the game at the five minute
mark. He was assisted on his goal
by Steve Bedour and Randy
McKinnon. Watford responded
with three more goals but Zurich
fought on as Steve Bedour found
the target and assisted by Ken
Smale and Steve Haberer tucked
one into the Watford net.
Zurich scored first in the third
period as Kevin McKinnon scored
assisted by Ken Smale and Dave
Cyr, however that was to be the
end of the Zurich scoring. Wat-
ford tucked two more in to win
the game 12 to 4.
Stars of the game were Alec
Hastie for Watford and Bob
Farquhar for the Flyers.

Robert Willert scored, aided by
Mike Haggitt.
In the last period, Zurich only
allowed Pt. Edward to score one,
but just couldn't get by the much
stronger Pt. Edward gang.
Pt. Edward became the B3
Champs and went on to defeat the
B2 Champs and B1 Champs and
became the B Grand Champs to
go the finals in Port Huron.
Zurich 6 Hensall 2
In a very exciting fast game,
Zurich scored four goals before
Hensall replied from Parker in
the first period. First of all Len
Van Wonderen knocked in a pass
from Robert Willert and Pat Cyr.
Then Kerry Bedard, aided by Jeff
McKinnon poked another by.
Next Jim Willert scored, aided by
Mark Regier and then Mike
Haggitt sent a rebound home
after Robert Willert and Kris
Bedard set up the play.
In the second frame, the lone
goal was scored by Mike Haggitt,
assisted by Len Van Wonderen.
The last period was even for
both teams, with Parker getting
his second goal and Kerry
Bedard getting his second goal of
the game, aided by Jim Willert.
Steve Sararas kicked out many
shots that were labelled for goals.
Zurich 10, Goderich 4
After a slow start, Zurich came
alive in the last period with a rash
of six goals to defeat the Goderich
B Club. Robert Willert started the
scoring, but Goderich came back
with a counter, but before the
period ended, Robert Willert
notched another.
In the second frame, Zurich
went ahead again on another goal
by Willert. Then Goderich came
up with two more to tie the score,
but before the buzzer sounded,
Atoms defeat Moncton
The Zurich Atoms scored a
victory over Monkton ata game
played in Zurich last Wednesday.
Zurich scored twice in the first
period while holding Monkton
scoreless. The second period was
even closer as both teams
managed to stave off attacks
while failing to score themselves
to give Zurich a 2 to 0 lead going
into the third period.
Two fast goals by Monkton
early in the third tied the game at
2-2 but Zurich did not give up.
Staving off the Monkton burst of
control, Zurich beat them off
and then scored two goals late in
the period to win the game.Rick
Kuepfer of Zurich managed a hat
trick, all three goals were single-
handed while the fourth Zurich
goal went to Dean Armstrong,
also single handed.

The last period was started
with a goal by Goderich, but then
Zurich roared out with six big
unanswered goals. Robert Willert
notched four more to give him a
total of seven goals, while Kerry
Bedard banged in two and
assisted on two while Mike
Haggitt aided on two.
