owling league holds special night
The ladies bowling league
held their annual Christmas
bowling night Monday.
Tickets were sold on glass
turkeys with money raised to
be used for their banquet in
Zurich

May. Also, glass turkeys
were given to the bowler
with High Single and High
triple for the evening.
Seniors get-together
A little get-together was
held at the Senior Apart-
ments on Friday in the
common room for all those
who were able to attend. A
delicious luncheon was
enjoyed followed by a few
games of cards and
crokinole.
Christmas concert
St. Boniface school
children are holding their
Christmas Concert to -night,
December 21 at 8:00 p.m.
everyone is welcome.
Lions Club dinner
Members of the Lions Club
and their wives enjoyed a
lovely Christmas dinner at
the Bayview Tavern, Friday
evening.
60 attend
A good time was had by the
60 members who attended the
Golden Agers Christmas
turkey dinner with all the
trimmings on December 11,
after which they enjoyed
playing cards for prizes.
Mrs. Belle Merner and her
committee were in charge.
Good crowd
A large crowd attended the
turkey bingo last Wednesday
sponsored by the Lions club,
with the proceeds going to
the annual Santa Claus day,
which was held Saturday at
the arena. Many children
present enjoyed the movies,
and were treated to
chocolate milk also given a
bag of candy from Santa.

moved into the village on the
week end, they have pur-
chased the former Cronkite
home.
Jermone and Carmel
Sweeney attended the
psychiatric unit Christmas
party on Saturday at the
Maitland Country Club in
Goderich.
Mrs. Lucien Corriveau
spent a few days with her son
and daughter in-law, Cyril
and Linda Corriveau,
London while she was
recuperating from some
tests at the hospital.
Louise and Larry Merner
spent a few days in Ottawa
recently and attended the
M.P.'s Christmas party as
guest of Mr. & Mrs. Bob
McKinley.
Mrs. Gertie Fleischauer
visited for a few days
recently with her daughter
and son-in-law, Mr. & Mrs.
Larry Rogers in London.
Mr. & Mrs. Harvey Gelinas
of London spent a few days
with Mr. & Mrs. Mozart
Gelinas Sr. last week. They
also attended the funeral of
Garfield Denomme.
Mr. Case VanRaay is a
patient in Victoria Hospital,
London.
