had their Christmas turkey

Pineridge Chalet.
Carol Erb entertained
them by showing slides on
Afghanistan. On 'Tuesday
December 19th the W.M.S.C.
are planning a Christmas
program at the church hall
and their husbands are in-
vited.
Have pot -luck supper
St. Boniface C.W.L. held a
mothers and daughters pot-
luck supper on Tuesday
evening. Christmas gifts
were delivered to the United
church in Exeter for the
Children's aid society.
Encounter group
Six couples are making a
Marriage Encounter week-
end this Friday at the
Holiday Inn, London.
See Maple woods films
It was reported that a good
number of people went and
saw the film at the Maple
Woods last Thursday. The
next one will be shown on
January 18 being "National
Velvet." The ladies of the
Apartment are keeping
themselves busy quilting,
and are already working on
their third one,
Donate $1,000
A lovely Christmas party
took place at the Blue Water
Rest Home last Tuesday for
the residence sponsored by
the ladies auxiliary.
A program was presented,
along with Santa handing out
gifts to the residence. After
which lunch was served.
Mr. Risi was recently
presented $1,000.00 towards
the whirl -pool bath. Mem-
bership dues were taken up
for the new year. •

Indiana, accompanied by
Rev. Orvan Hooley. They
also stayed with Mr. & Mrs.
Ervin Martin.
Michael Haggitt had the
misfortune of breaking his
ankle in a ski-doo accident
last Sunday.
We also wish Joan Bedard
a speedy recovery, as she
fell a few weeks ago and
broke her arm - and had to
have it re -set with a second
cast.
Good luck to Ann Miller on
her recent endeavour of
opening a restaurant on
Highway 21, north of Grand
Bend, known as the Golf
View.

A little get together was
held at the home of Birdie
Finkbeiner on Monday to
show her appreciation to the
girls who helped her out all
summer serving dinners.

called on the formers'
parents last week, Dr and
Mrs. John Gorwill, Seaforth.
John has recently returned
home from a months con-
finement in the hospital.

JOINS ONTARIO HYDRO
— Gary E. Truemner, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Elwood
Truemner, Zurich has
accepted a position. with On-
tario Hydro Mechanical
Research Division in Toronto.
Gary graduated from
Fanshawe College in
Metallurgy. He has been in-
volved in the Toronto,
Hamilton area with welding
inspection companies at con-
struction sites near Nan-
ticoke, Douglas Point and
special assignments at min-
ing and power locations in
Canada and the USA for the
past six years.
