Staff photo Buckeyes win two to keep streak alive The Zurich Buckeyes con- tinue to have an outstanding start in South Huron Hockey League' action as the local team defeated CCAT 9-4 Monday and clobbered Thed- ford 9-1 Sunday in Thedford. Scoring two goals apiece in Monday's victory over the Ag school were Steve Bedour, Ron Desjardine and John Graham. The Buckeyes scored the first three goals of the game with Graham getting the first goal of the game from Rich Schilbe and Ron Rader. Zurich went up by a margin of three goals as Desjardine scored with a lit- tle over ten minutes remain- ing in the period. Rich Schilbe and Rader assisted. Following a score by CCAT, the Buckeyes final goal of the period came from Bedour as he beat Holmes in net for the school. Bedard and Kim McKinnon assisted. In the second period, the Buckeyes, scored the first three goals of the period once again with Graham scoring from Schilbe and Desjardine. At the 12:04 mark, Desjar- dine scored his second goal of the game with help from Schilbe and Rader. Picking up the final Zurich goal of the period was McKinnon as he took passes from Bedour and Bedard. The third period saw CCAT outscore the Buckeyes 3-2 but it proved to be too little, too late. Scoring the Zurich goals were Schilbe and Bedour. Assisting on the goals were Rader and Bedard. In Sunday's thumping of Thedford, Steve Haberer and Bedard scored two goals apiece. Picking up the single goals were Graham, Schilbe, Tim West, McKinnon and Weido. Zurich's big period was the second when they scored four goals.
