Ladies get fit
Christmas supper dor Golden Agers
Zurich Golden Agers are
having a Christmas turkey
dinner for all their members
on Monday at 6:00 o'clock in
the township hall. Ladies not
otherwise requested are to
bring pie - new members
always welcome.
Yoga fitness class
Around fifteen ladies are
keeping themselves fit as
they do yoga once a week, at
the public school gym on
Zurich
Carmel. Sweeney
Wednesday evenings, under
the guidance of Joy Hogg.
Yoga is a very healthy and
relaxing way to exercise.
Plants party
A good time was had by all
at a Plant Party last
Tuesday hosted by Cecile
Meidinger. Mrs. McAlpine of
Ailsa Craig demonstrated
the new method of grooming
house plants in clay pellets
instead of soil.
CWL Penny Sale
The ladies of St. Peter's
C.W.L., St. Joseph spon-
sored a penny sale last
Thursday at their parish hall
and was enjoyed by all who
attended.
Firemen complete course
Paul Bedard, Phil
Overholt, Ken McCarter and
Lloyd Denomme all
volunteer fire men have
completed a thirteen week
course on fire prevention at
S.H.D.H,S. in Exeter,
Sale helps skaters
The bake sale at the arena
was a big success Saturday
with the proceeds going to
the Zurich, Grand Bend
figure skating club. The
winner of the 50 50 draw was
Herb Turkheim for $160.00.
Tickets were also sold on a
barbie doll and clothes set
which will be drawn before
Christmas.
Good puppet show
A good number of children
and parents turned out to
watch a Christmas puppet
show at the town hall on
Saturday which was
presented by the Huron
County library staff.

Doreen and Harold
Dietrich were dinner guests
on Sunday with the former's
sister and family, Veronica
and Austin Hartman in
Goderich.
Richard and Janet Regier
of St. Thomas. were Sunday
visitors with their parents,
Mr. & Mrs. Morris Webb
and Mr. and Mrs. Lee
Regier,
Richard Thiel is presently
enjoying a two week
vacation in Florida.
Stephen, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Denomme of
Kelowna B.C. has recently
come home after spending
three weeks visiting with his
parents and friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Bedard
and Mr: and Mrs. Wilfred
Overholt are happy to have a
new grand -daughter born on
November 30. Proud
parents are Debbie and
Steven Overholt, Exeter.
Mrs. Anette Denomme
R.R. 2 Zurich was recently a
patient in St. Joseph's
Hospital, London,
Farewell to Cliff, Pat and
Randy Cronkite who are
moving to London this week
end. An auction sale was
held at their home Saturday.
Irene and Ted Steinbach
recently spent a few days
with their daughter and son-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James
Hackett of Aurora.
Andrew and Steven Geiger
spent the week end with their
grand parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Allen Gascho.
Tim, Heather and Anthony
Stark of Auburn were dinner
guests with Carolyn and
Dave Stark and girls
Saturday, and also visited
with the latter's mother,
Mrs. Therese Stark.
Mrs, Louise Denomme of
the Senior Apts. was visited
by her daughter for the day
last week, being Mrs. Jean
Regier of Kincardine.
Also recent dinner guests
with Louise were a daughter-
in-law, Tony and family
Toronto.
Mrs. Marie Park, who is 91
years old enjoyed an af-
ternoon of bowling last
Thursday with the Golden
Agers. Mr. Todd of the
Maple Woods Apts. who is 87
years old bowled. They both
kept up to the rest and had a
good time.
Mr. and Mrs. John
Denomme R.R. 2 Zurich
spent a few days in Windsor
at their son's Mr. and Mrs.
Philip Denomme. They were
then flown to Montreal to
visit another son, Mr. and
Mrs. Gerald Denomme for a
week.
