noon in Zurich with the Buckeyes edging the Hensall squad 6-

Buckeyes continue on winning ways
The Zurich Buckeyes'
outstanding start in the
South Huron Hockey League
continues with the home
'town squad winning another
two games, 2-0 over the
Goderich Merchants and 6-5
over the Hensall Sher -
woods.
Randy Oke picked up his
second shutout in three
games With the young Zurich
goaltender stymying
Goderich.
The Buckeyes scored the
winning goal with two
minutes remaining in the
first period as Glen Overholt
took passes from Grant Lee
and Ron Rader and beat
Doug Fisher In goal for
Goderich.
The second period was
scoreless with the Buckeyes
picking up 'the insurance
marker with 7:47 left to play
in the game.,
Pat Bedard took a pass
from Mike Clarke and scored
the clincher.
Coach Herb Turkheim said
the game was a fast paced
affair with referees Wayne
Corbett and Brian Campbell
calling only 11 penalties.
Sunday's game between
the Buckeyes and the
Sherwoods was a hard fought
contest with the action fast
and furious.
Hensall opened the scoring
with only 14 seconds elapsed
in the game 'with Steve
Knight taking a pass from
Greg Campbell and beating
Oke.
The Buckeyes rose to the
occasion and put three
consecutive goals behind
Sherwoods' goaltender John
Gould.
Scoring goals for Zurich
were Rick Schilbe, Overholt
and Grant Lee.
Assisting on the goals were
Ken Smale, Overholt and
Steve Haberer.
Midway through the
second period, Hensall got
one back with Lloyd Allan
scoring from Dan Crerar and
Jim ,Ferguson.
Four minutes later, the
Buckeyes got that one back
with Sinale finding the
range. Schilbe assisted.
In the third period, the
Sherwoods outscored the

The Buckeyes came back
with two goals to clinch the
victory as Ron Rader scored
from Overholt arid John
Graham.
Tim West notched his first
goal as a Buckeye with 6:49
remaining in the game. Kim
McKinnon assisted.
The Sherwoods came back
to almost fie the game as
they scored two goals in a
span of a minute and thirty
seconds.
Rick Ingram. and Allan
scored the goals with Red
Campbell, Crerar and
Ingram picking up the
assists.
A total of fifteen penalties
were a called in the game.
The Buckeyes next game
is Monday night at home
with Centralia supplying the
opposition.
Zurich now has a 6-1 won -
loss record.
Two goals for
Hensall's Chipchase.
The Hensall Sherwoods
returned to their winning
ways Thursday night as they
defeated CCAT in Hen-
sall.
Leading the way for
Hensall was Bill Chipchase
with two goals and an assist.
The Sherwoods hit the
score sheet first with Larry
Bourne finding the range
with five minutes gone in the
first period. Jim Ferguson
and Rick Ingram assisted.
Two minutes later, Hensall
scored once again, with
Ingram firing one past Dave
Holmes in net for the school.
Ferguson added the assist.
The agricultural college
put itself back into the game
with eight minutes
remaining in the period but
Hensall regained their two
goal advantage on a score by
Brian Baker. Ingram added
the assist.
Scoring the only two goals
of the period was Chipchase
with Steve Knight assisting
on both goals.
With twelve minutes
elapsed in third CCAT scored
their final goal of the game.
The Sherwoods scored two
goals in the final two minutes
with Bourne scoring from
Lloyd Allan and Ingram.
Just before the buzzer
went, Ingram picked up
Hensall's seventh goal of the
game with help from Al
Taylor and Gary Koehler.
