Twenty-nine members were presented with a 25 year pin for their services. Mrs. Remi Denomme was their first president. Mothers & Tots Skatin a• EVERY WEDNESDAY 2-4 p.m. ZURICH ARENA Mass was offered by pastor Father Bensette and Monsignor Bourdeau founder of the league. A delicious pot luck supper was served in the parish hall. Guest speaker, Father F. White of London. The new Spiritual director of the C.W.L. spoke on 'vocations. Attend district meeting Mrs. Annie Finkbeiner, Mrs. Verlyn Fisher, Mrs. Milfred Doerr, Mrs. Harold Deichert, Mrs. Herb Klopp and Mrs, Jack Turkheim attended the western district assembly for Lutheran church women, at Chesley on Wednesday. Mrs. • Dorothy Elligsen of Walton was elected secretary of the assembly for the term of two years. Mrs. Elligsen is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Victor Deichert. Celebrates 90th birthday Mrs. Adeline Kraft, a resident of the Blue Water Rest Home celebrated her 90th birthday on Tuesday. Visit Stratford The grade seven class of St. Boniface school went on a treasure hunt trip to the art museum in Stratford last Thursday, Teacher, Mrs, Marg Suplat was in charge along with mothers Donna Lesperance, Maria Mathonia, Marlene Bedard and a grand mother Mrs. Mary McKinnon. Hallowe'en party A Hallowe'en party was held at the Lutheran church basement on Friday evening for all the children. They bobbed for apples, judged costumes and were treated to a lunch. Hunting trip George Haggitt, Neil Walker and Don Regier went on a hunting trip up north and returned home with a moose shot by George. Wedding Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Greg Butler (nee Brenda Schilbe) married at St. Peters Lutheran Church. Personals A dinner party was held at the Dominion Hotel last Thursday in honor of Mrs. Dorothy Koehler's birthday and Cathy Merner's. Relatives who helped them celebrate were Ross and Marg Johnston, Tootie, Bob and Marty Merner, Carol and Bob Johnston and family, Bill Hoffman and boys. Mrs. Mae Davidson has returned home from a months vacation. Also visited with her sister Mrs. Aaron Jantzi in Dublin. Recent weekend visitors at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Earl Oesch were their daughter and son-in-law Fae and Tim Morris of Oakville. Mr. & Mrs. Morley Witmer of Detroit were weekend guests of Mr. & Mrs. Ted Steinbach. Mr. & Mrs. Elroy Desjardine called on friends for the day in Goderich Sunday being Mr. & Mrs. Vince Young. A family gathering was .held at the home of Mozart and Marie Gelinas to welcome home their daughter Melissa and nine month old granddaughter. Melissa lives in Mission B.C. and is home fdr a month holidays. Her husband R.C.M.P. David Beer is now in Ottawa taking a course and will join her here in two weeks. Jeanne Hay had the misfortune of falling and breaking her ankle and will be in .a cast for six weeks. Mr, Edgar Schnell of Camrose Alberta called on Irene and Ted Steinbach one day last week. Mrs. Gladys Morrison of Cambridge spent the weekend with her daughter and family, Peggy and Ed Keenan and Tom. Mr. & Mrs. Howard Fink- beiner, son Carl and Mr. & Mrs. Jim Love recently went, to Frankenmuth, Michigan, for the weekend and enjoyed seeing all the lovely Christmas decorations. Mrs. Marcella Dietrich spent a few days with her daughter and son-in-law Irene and Joe McCann at their new home in Grand Bend. They also attended a farewell party for them in Mt. Carmel on Friday night. Mr. & Mrs. Cal Cutler of Oscoda Michigan spent a few days recentlywith the Tat- ter's brother Mr. & Mrs: Len Rau of the senior apart- ments. Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Gingerich arrived home from a four day business trip, dealing with their self- help products of hand crafted items. Their travels took them to such places as Toronto, Port Hope, Peterborough and Ottawa. A shipment of crafts from Dacca Bangladesh is due to arrive this week, -and any volunteers that would like to help Pearl and Gerry unpack and sort out the goods would be welcome at any time.
