Couple return from western tour
Herb and Donna Klopp
have returned home from a
very enjoyable two week trip
to Edmonton, Their main
purpose was to see their
daughter Diane, who is
working in Edmonton at a
school for the deaf. They

then went on to McKenzie
B.C. and called on Karen and
Gordie Deitz, and Mr. & Mrs.
Allen Thiel in McBride B.C.
Their next visit was with
Wayne and Helen Horner in
St. Paul, Alberta. They also
stopped in Manitoba to see
friends, and Albina Schnell
in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
Stark Wedding
Congratulations to, Mr. &
Mrs. Thomas Stark (nee
Mary Bowers) married at St.
Peter's Catholic Church in
Goderich.
Wins jackpot
Carol Finlayson of Exeter
was the lucky winner of the
$500 jackpot at the Bingo in
Zurich on Wednesday.
Special dinner
The children of Mr. & Mrs.
Nelson Riley treated their
parents to a lovely dinner on
Sunday at the home of their
daughter and son-in-law,
Richard and Grace Bender
in Tavistock. Many friends
and relatives were on hand
to help the couple celebrate
their 40th wedding an-
niversary from Baden,
Exeter, Bayfield, Seaforth,
Tavistock, and Zurich.
Persona Is
Mr. Garfield Denomme is
a patient in St. Joseph's
Hospital, London and has
recently under gone surgery.
We all extend our wishes for
him to have a speedy
recovery.
Mrs, Gertrude Fleischauer
spent the week end in
Toronto accompanied by her
daughter and son-in-law,
Ruth Ann and Bill Mills who
live in Listowel.
Miss Carol Erb, daughter
of Mr. & Mr -s. Gordon Erb,
R.R. 2 Zurichis presently
home on a six month's
furlough from Kabul
Afghanistan, where she is a
secretary to the foreign
doctors of a 100 bed eye
hospital. We all hope she gets
a well deserved rest while
home.
Mr. & Mrs. Clarence
Reichert, Mrs. Beatrice
Rader and Mrs. Margaret
Hess spent Thanksgiving
week end in Woodstock, Mrs.
Hess visited with her son and
daughter-in-law, Bill and
Audrey Hess and family,
while the others visited with
their relatives, Mr. & Mrs.
Ed Horman.
Several ladies from St.
Boniface Catholic Women's
League, attended a meeting
in Stratford yesterday at the
Immaculate Conception
Church Hall.
Last Sunday and Monday
visitors with Mr. & Mrs.
Lucien Corriveau of the
Senior. Apartments were
their daughter and son-in-
law, Rebecca and Ray
Geromette of St. Clair
Shores, Michigan also their
grandson, Mark Kelly and
his girlfriend, Catherine
Kelly both of London were
with them for dinner on
Monday.
Reverend Lloyd Kalb-
fleisch was recently a
patient in Victoria Hospital,
London. Since returning
home Mr, & Mrs. Kalb-
fleisch's son and daughter-
in-law, Mr. & Mrs. Fred
Kaibfleisch of Burlington
and Mr. & Mrs. Donald
Taber of Toronto ( a
daughter) were to visit with
their parents.
Thanksgiving dinner
guests with Mrs. Marie Park
and Mrs. Tetreau were Mr. &
Mrs. David McAdams of
Windsor, Mr. & Mrs. Harry
McAdams, also Mrs. Henry
Bassard and Miss Emma
Bassow, all of Zurich.
Mr. & Mrs. Percy Rowe of
Bolton formerly of Zurich
recently visited with Mr. &
Mrs. Newell Geiger.

A lovely train trip was had
by Mrs. Juliette Denomme
and Mrs. Theresa Hartman
to Montreal to spend a week
with their children, Michael
and Yvonne Hartman and
family. While there, they
visited the beautiful Church
of Notre Dame in Montreal,
and the Oratory of St.
Joseph.
Richard Bedard of Toronto
spent the week end with his
parents, Mr. & Mrs. Gerald
Bedard..,
Mr. & Mrs. Dennis
Corriveau, Mozart Gelinas
Sr., of Zurich and Mr. & Mrs.
Pat Tiede of London enjoyed
a lovely meal on Sunday at
the Blue Water Rest Homes'
Thanksgiving dinner for the
residence. The accompanied
their Aunt, Miss. Mary
Gelinas who will be 101 years
old in November.
Mrs. Cora Whittington and
baby daughter Helena, of
Peterborough spent a week
with her parents, Mr. & Mrs.
Case Van Raay and family.
Mr. & Mrs. Wilfred
Corriveau spent
Thanksgiving week end with
their son and daughter-in-
law, Ted and Sarah Robson
in Windsor.
Miss . Pia Christen _ of
Buocho • Switzerland, is
staying with her Uncle and
Aunt, Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Rik'
for two months, and while
here Pia hopes to learn to
speak English.

of St. Thomas visited with
Mr. & Mrs. Lee Regier and
attended the Stark -Bowers
wedding on Saturday.
