BEANS ARE COMING OFF The wet weather of late has
hampered the harvest of this year's white bean crop but ac-
cording to Murray Parsons of RR 1, Hensall another week of
dry weather could see most of the beans off. On Monday,
Parsons delivered 500 bushels of beans from the Don Parsons
farm. to the W.G. Thompson and Sons elevator in Hen-
sall. Staff photo
Hay meeting set
Landowners in Hay
township will have the op-
portunity to express their
opinions about Hay's
proposed official plan, at a
meeting to be held on Mon-
day, October 16.
According to Gary David-
son of the Huron County
Planning Department copies
of the draft plan were mail-
ed to all land owners in Hay
this week. If a property
owner did not receive a plan,
copies are available at the
Hay Municipal office and
will also be available at the
meeting.
Davidson stressed that the
plan is only a draft and that
the purpose of the meeting
which is to be held at the
Hay township Hall in Zurich
at 8 p.m. is to receive com-
ments about the draft.
He said there has been
about a year's work gone
into the. draft plan.
Davidson added that
dependent on the number
and type of objections
received at the meeting, it
could be up to a year before
the plan is implemented.
