Guests were Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Gascho, Mr. & Mrs. Kenneth Gascho and son John, also Amos and Miss Laura Gascho. Farewell party held A clock radio was presented to Mr. & Mrs. George Bedard last Satur- day night at a farewell party given to them by neighbours, friends and relatives, George and Oliva have since moved to Goderich. Their farm has been purchased by Mr. & Mrs. John Paul Rau. Successful season Members of the Patz's ball team treated their wives to a beef -barbecue on Sunday to mark the end of the season. It was held at Larry McCanns. The wedding ceremony will take place October 28 at 3 p.m., in St. Paul's United Church with a reception to follow at The Woodland's Golf and Country Club, Brampton. They went with a bus load from London through Courtney Wholesale Co. Mrs. Lerina Rose is a patient in South Huron Hospital, Exeter. Mary Ann and Jim Vanos and baby Saralyn of Toronto spent the week end with the latter's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Clarence Geoffrey and Kevin. Miss Maria Kenda of, Australia is visiting for two weeks with her brother and family Mr. & Mrs. Joe Kenda. Mr. & Mrs. Keith Westlake are happy to have a new granddaughter. She was born on September 27th to Alma and Robert Westlake. Mr. & Mrs. Floren Toman of Kitchener were week end guest at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Charles Thiel. They also attended the Rader -De Vries wedding on Saturday. Jim and Nora Bridle and Joanne travelled to Gillies Lake for the week end and stayed at a cottage while there. Mr. & Mrs, Gladwin Pascuzzo of Highland Michigan spent Saturday evening with Mrs. Marie Pask: Sunday Mr. & Mrs. Bert Pascuzzo of Strathroy called on Mrs. Pask and Mrs. Tetreau. Mrs. Donna O'Brien substituted at the local library last week for Mrs. Beatrice Rader, while she was attending a library work shop of the Ontario govern- ment at Kempenfelt Bay, near Barrie. Mrs. Edith Hohner and Mrs. Elsie Doerr represented the Women's Institute at the County rally in Londesborough on Monday. Kim and Kevin Sweeney of Kippen spent the week end with their aunt and uncle Jerome and Carmel Sweeney and girls. Mr. Si Mrs. Anthony Lansbergen had their baby, Steven Patrick baptized at St. Boniface church on Sunday. Godparents were the latter's parents, Mr. & Mrs. Patrick Glavin of Mt. Carmel. Those attending were Mr. & Mrs. Basil Glavin of Crediton and Mr. & Mrs. Francis Ryan of Kirkora. Mrs. Martha Ducharme and Mrs. Therese Stark attended the annual dinner - meeting for the March of Dimes in Kitchener on Tuesday. The speaker was Miss Elaine Townshend of Clinton. Mr. & Mrs. Sam Oesch of Hensall were dinner guests on Sunday at the home of their daughter and son-in- lc:w, Mr. & Mrs. Earl Flaxbard to celebrate Sam's 85th birthday. Mr. & Mrs. Charles Pulford, London were week end visitors with Mr. & Mrs. Ferd Haberer. Mrs, Emma Schilbe, Mrs. Margaret Hess, Mrs. Agnes Regier, Mrs. Ina Neeb and Mrs. Annie Finkbeiner are presently enjoying a four day bus tour stopping over night at Algonquin Park, Ottawa and Gananoque. Relatives .visiting Mrs. Seleda Steckle recently were Robert, Dianne Steckle, Mr. & Mrs. Enos Martin, Mrs. Gladys Shantz and Mrs. Urbine Snyder. Tile Pastor and several local members of the Mennonite Church attended the Missions Rally at Baden over the 'week end.
