The course is "Essential Edibles". Of- ficers were elected as follows; President, Barbara Stratton; Vice-president, Linda Roberts; Treasurer, Lisa Hamather; Secretary, Floating; Press reporter, Susan Luther; Assistant leader, Joan McLellan. Other members are Robin McLellan, Susie Neilands, Vicky Mann and Rebecca Jantzi. Everybody pitched in and made granola and each girl is to make it again at home; metric measurements were used. Books were handed out and lesson one was com- pleted. Church to acquire minister To discuss minister situation The service in Hensall United Church last Sunday was conducted by Rev. Harold Snell, of Exeter, with Mrs. Mary Moffatt at the organ. As an anthem, the choir, led by Mrs. Marianne McCaffrey, sang, "God reveals His presence" unac- companied. Rev. Snell preached on the subject, "Where does God dwell?" Flowers on either side of the pulpit were in memory of Ray Paterson`, placed there in loving memory' by his family. Next Sunday immediately following the 11 a.m. ser- vice, both Chiselhurst and Hensall congregations will meet to deal with the ac- quisition of a supply minister. The sacrament of Holy Communion will be held for both congregations at 11 a.m. in the Hensall church. • St. Paul's Church final meeting The final meeting of St. Paul's Anglican church A.C.W. was held on Thur- sday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Annie Reid. The President Mrs. Frank Forrest opened the meeting with the members prayer. Devotions were taken from the "Living Message" Mrs. C. Forrest read the Scripture Deut. Chapter 8 verses 11-20. Mrs. Roberts gave the Meditation and everyone took part in the Litany. The Roll Call was answered with a verse "Harvest for Thanksgiving". Mrs. Anderson gave the Study Book Colossians Chapter 1. Plans were discussed for the final church service .on Sunday afternoon. Rev. G. A. Anderson closed the meeting with prayer. Will extend call Dr. Fox of London was in charge. of the service at Carmel ' Presbyterian Church on Sunday. Mrs. Robert Taylor presided at the organ and led the choir in singing "Trusting Jesus". Holy Communion will be dispensed next Sunday with Rev. A. Young in charge. A meeting ofPresbyterywill be held in Caven Presbyterian church, Exeter on Thursday, October 5 at 8 p.m. to complete the call extended to Rev. Kenneth Knight of Rose Town, Sask. Drape charter at lodge Mrs. Maggie Campbell, Noble Grand presided for the meeting of Amber Rebekah Lodge 'on Wednesday evening assisted by the vice Grand Mrs. Pearl Eyre. The charter was draped in memory of the late Sister Daphne Kenealey, Past President of the Rebekah Assembly. Mrs. Isobel Rogerson presided at the piano: in the absence of Mrs. Evelyn MacBeath. Mrs. Dorothy Corbett and Mrs. Bertha MacGregor will canvass for the Blind. On Wednesday October 4 District Deputy President Sister Kathleen Cuthill and her installing staff from 'Idelweiss Rebekah Lodge will be present and install the officers of Amber Rebekah Lodge. The Social committee for the meeting will be Sisters Maggie Campbell, Dorothy Parker, Bertha MacGregor and Vera Smale. Queensway visitors On Tuesday Rev. Bishop conducted Church service with Mrs. Mitchell ac- companying at the piano. Visitors with, Mrs. Vera Lammie celebrating her birthday were Bob, Shirley, Darryl, Darla and Brett Lammie,. Greta Lammie, Mrs. E. Alexander, Mr. & Mrs. Jack Paisley, Toronto, Elmer and Hazel Dunn, Iva Ridley and Ila Dunn. Mrs. J. Betteridge, Mrs. Violet Bishop, Barb and Heather Doherty visited Irene Kalbfleisch. Mr. & Mrs. Orbie Kestle Mrs. Hazel Snell and Mr. & Mrs. Charles Fisher visited Louise Mit- chell. Pere and Clara Johnston' visited Russell Erratt, Betty and Cecil Smith visited Mrs. Kendrick, Lynn Latimer • and several other residents. Personals Mr. and Mrs. John McGuire, Dianna and Meghan of Erin visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Smith over the weekend. Greg and Jordie Smith also visited on Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Skea and David visited with Mr. and Mrs. John Skea Junior, Colin and Karen of Milton over the weekend. William Gibson has returned from a 10 day vaca- tion with friends John Gray, Vancouver and Barnes Hickman, San Francisco, which he enjoyed very much.
