TAKE HORSESHOE PITCHING TITLE — Whenever you think of competitive horseshoe
pitching the name of Elmer Hohl has to come to mind. For the second consecutive year, Hohl of
Wellesley (far right) was part of the.team that took the Fred Harburn trophy for the Ontario
championship held in Zurich. Presenting the trophy to Hohl and John Watkinson of

' coached the T -Ball for the
younger children on Wed-
nesday afternoons. The
committee would like to
thank all these coaches for
donating so much of their
time for the youngsters, and
thanks also to assistant
coaches, umpires and
drivers, and to Ross Whit-
taker who co-ordinated the
season's activities.
In the men's South Huron
Slo-pitch League, Varna
defeated Fancher's Flyers of
Bayfield in two straight
games, and are now into the
finals with Dashwood in a
best of 3 out of 5 series. On
Wednesday Dashwood beat
Varna, and Varna evened it
up with a win after two in-
nings of overtime. Other
games were scheduled for
Tuesday, Friday, and if
necessary Sunday. Spec-
tators are turning out in
goodly numbers for the
games.

1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 2 tablespoons milk
6 hamburger buns
Combine ingredients plus
one of the following ad-
ditions. Shape into 6 1/2 -inch
patties. Place on greased
grill 3 inches from coals.
Cook 4 minutes per side.
Serve on hamburger buns.
Makes 6 burgers.
Additions:
1 tablespoon soy sauce, 1
teaspoon lemon rind and 1/4
teaspoon ginger —12 cents
2 teaspoons dry mustard and
2 tablespoons drained pickl-
ed relish —14 cents
1 teaspoon dill seed and 2
teaspoons Worcestershire
sauce —12 cents
