Golden Glimpses
Even though the odd leaf is
taking on the autumn colours
and fluttering down to earth,
I am sure we are all thankful
for the warm weather we
have been enjoying during
September.
We regret that Mrs.
Gertrude Gittus is
presently a patient in South
Huron Hosptial, Exeter. We
are pleased that Mr. Lam-
bert Witmer has been able to
return home from St.
Joseph's Hospital.
On Tuesday evening, the
Blue Water Auxiliary held
their first meeting for the
fall and winter season. A
very enjoyable musical
programme was presented
by the family of Mr. & Mrs.
Wally Dirks of Kitchener.
Master Philip played the
violin, David the cello and
Dorothy the piano. They

The Reformed Church
Ladies took several
residents to the Grand Bend
Park for the afternoon and
had treats.
On Monday several nur-
sing home residents went by
bus to the Western Fair,
London and attended the
Grand Stand Perfor-
mance. Reverend Van
Essen had the Church ser-
vice on Tuesday accom-
panied by Mrs. Van Essen.

played several selections as
a group as well as solos. Mrs.
Dirks gave a reading, "The
Touch of the Master's Hand"
and Mrs. Grace Martin
played several piano solos
while the visitors and
Residents assembled for
refreshments.
A delicious lunch was
served and a social time
followed.
Residents who have been
out visiting recently are:

On Friday evening bingo
was played followed by
refreshments.
We will soon .be beginning
our fall and winter series of
films here at the home. The
public are always welcome.
The Sunday evening
chapel service was con-
ducted by Rev. Ross
Hargraves of Thames Road
United Church. Miss Agnes
Bray presided at the organ
during the service.
