best bits of theatre to hit this area in a long time has to
be the "School Show" at the Blyth Summer Festival.
The one man show starring Ted Johns is a laugh filled
satire on the various individuals and groups involved
in this county's teacher's strike of a few months ago.
It's nice for a change to see a play based on people
who. you can recognize especially when one has an ac-
tor of Johns' ability to portray them.
On another theatre note, a somewhat reluctant
writer saw his first musical and to his surprise,
thoroughly enjoyed it. Oklahoma! at the Huron Coun-
try Playhouse changed this writer's attitude towards
mus icals.
_ I think next year, 1 might actually take the in
itiativeto see a musical.
Farquhar, and Paul
Morrison, Jeff in turn scored
on a throwing error. Rick
Schilbe, Kevin McKinnon
and Wayne Clarke also
picked up hits.
