Church served dainty

Everyone expressed a desire
that it continue as an annual
event, and said thanks to
Canon Paull for his
thoughtfulness.

Miss Sally Bennett
London spent the weekend
with her parents, Rev.
William M. and Mrs. Ben-
nett.
Mr. & Mrs. Fred Heard,
Stratford visited relatives
here during the weekend and
attended the Garden Party
at Camborne House hosted
by Canon Paull,
Mrs. Elva Metcalf
returned last week from a
three week holiday in the
Maritimes. She especially
enjoyed the restoration
areas in Quebec City,
Halifax and Fort Louisburg;
returning home through the
U.S.A. after an enjoyeble
tour.
Rev. and Mrs. James
Reddoch had as their
weekend guests their
daughter-in-law, Mrs.
Graham Reddoch of Milton,
also her mother and sister.
Lieut. Stan and Mrs. Smith,
and Lisa, Mrs. Leanne
Veysey and Christopher all
of North Bay were guests of
Mrs. Smith's parents, Mr. &
Mrs. R.J. Larson from
Wednesday until Sunday.
Mrs. Lillian Matthewson of
Connel (near Oban) Scotland
is visiting with her nephew
and niece, Mr. & Mrs.
George Gregg. She has been
their guest for the past three
weeks and will return home
this week. It was a most
precious reunion for she and
Mr. Gregg as they had not
seen one another for 23
years. It was Mrs. Mat-
thewson's first flight and
also first visit to Canada. She
is thouroughly enjoying her
holiday and feels much at
home among the Scottish
names in the Village and
calls it a beautiful little town.
She was a guest of her great
niece Mary Gregg at the
Shakespearean Festival in
Stratford where she saw
Macbeth and was delighted
with her visit to Niagara
Falls, but says she really
loves Bayfield. We hope she
has enjoyed her visit here
and with our wish for a safe
trip back home and another
visit soon to Bayfield. "Will
ye no come back again?"
Miss Phyllis Adams of
London has taken up
residence in her summer
home and had as her week-
long guest, Mrs. V. Brett of
London.
Mrs. Marion Pence,
Rochester, Michigan visited
for a few days with her
mother, Mrs. J.M. Atkinson.
Mr. Alf Butler, Madison,
Wisc. visited last week with
relatives in the area and
called on Fred and Helen
LeBeau.

GUELPH GRADUATE —
Audrey Jane Gingerich,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Keith Gingerich, Zurich,
graduated in the Spring con-
vocation from the University
of Guelph with a Bachelor of
Arts degree. She will be
attending teachers' college
at London in the fall.
Bible School on Tuesday,
Wednesday and Thursday
afternoons from 1 to 3 p.m.
All boys and girls from ages
7 to 12 are most welcomed to
attend. Mr. David McBride
and his wife Julie will be in
charge and will welcome all
the children.
Slow pitch action
In action last week in the
Bluewater Ladies slow -pitch
league, the Babes defeated
the Goodtimes 14-1 and the
Mennesetes got by the Stars
15-3.
