Camp on Saturday Morning,
with all the goodies being
sold within 15 to 29 minutes.
(We heard of one
photographer who arrived at
20 after 11 and everything
was cleaned up. The sale
started at 11...not this
reporter). He was from a
newspaper to the south).
This sale was the third
consecutive one and was
started because a Lions Club
from Woodstock campout at
Homestead with their
families the same weekend
each year and the year the
Lioness Club was formed,
asked them to sponsor a
bake sale and now it has
become an annual event, and
a well patronized one at that.
Pancake breakfast
Speaking of Lions and
Lioness Clubs, our own
Bayfield clubs will be
sponsoring a Pancake
breakfast on Sunday mor-
ning, July 2 at the Old Town
Hall, starting at 8:30 a.m.
until 2 p.m,
The syrup for the pancakes
is from trees in Clan Gregor
Square and should be a real
tasty treat. The Lions are
generous too because their
signs advertising the event
say "all you can eat" for a
nominal fee. Also the Lions
Club are again sponsoring
the bus for swimming
classes at Vanastra. The
lessons start on July 3 to 14
each weekday afternoon.
The bus leaves the Municipal
Building at 1 p.m. and
returns at 3:30 p.m. The fee
is $13.50 per child and
Kathleen Siertsema at 565-

will be pleased to accept the
registration or supply you
with any required in-
formation.
Rummage Sale
Just a reminder when you
are housecleaning or
clearing out your
clothesclosets, to save all
your unwanted articles for
the Annual Pioneer Park
Rummage Sale, Friday
evening, July 14 at 8 p.m.
which will be held in the Old
Town Hall, the site of its
origin almost 30 years ago.
This year the conveners are
Mary Ellen Fellows and Kim
Gammage, who will be very
pleased to hear from anyone
requesting pick-up of ar-
ticles or any needed in-
formation. Mrs. Mildred
Fellows at 565-2745 will be
accepting phone calls on
behalf of the conveners and
she said to "call anytime."
Money from the annual sale
goes towards the upkeep of
Pioneer Park which is open
to the public free of charge
and also to some worthwhile
community projects.
