The last general dinner
meeting of Bayfield Lioness
Club of this season with,
president Ilse Gemeinhardt
presiding was held Monday.
Penny sale tickets are
almost ready to go on sale
and should be available to
the public mid-June. This
year the donated articles will
be set up in the Municipal
Building for about four days
before the draw. (Watch for
posters and your local
newspaper for further in-•
formation.
June 24 is the Annual Old
Homestead Bake Sale; July
28 is the Lions Frolic date
and August first there will be
a Fashion Show at the old
Town Hall. It will be a
dessert and punch affair at 2
p.m. Tickets will be on sale
during July at two dollars
each. The Booster Buttons
have sold very well and will
be available at all summer
functions. Quilt tickets are
moving along
winner will be drawn at the
Penny Sale:
A thank you gift was
presented to caterer, Mrs.
Miller. Lioness Sue May will
be moving to Calgary.
Alberta where her husband
Dan will be teaching, in the
late summer. The Club
presented her with a framed
picture of the charter
members. Last executive
meeting to be held June 20 at
the home of Lioness Jan
Simons.
Go to Niagara
Forty-seven Bayfield
Senior Citizens took a bus
trip to Niagara last week.
They went by way of number
8 Highway through the
vineyards and peach or-
chards. The big attraction
was Marineland and the
Falls which were enjoyed by
everyone. They returned by
way of Kitchener and had
..dinner at the Ponderosa
arriving home early
too and the evening.

Hire dog catcher
Bayfield Council at its
meeting last week
unanimously decided to hire
the dog catcher from
Tuckersmith. All dogs that
are picked up will be taken to
Seaforth.

hosted by Canon Paull on the
afternoon of June 25 from 3
to 5 p.m. was extended.
Sunday next the represen-
tatives who attended the 53rd
week -end will give their
impressions of the Annual
Christian Resource
Workshop at Huron College.
