PLAYERS RECOGNIZED— At the Zurich Minor Athletic Association banquet
Robby Dickert and Bob Snell received trophies for the most improved players
and peewee squads. Presenting the trophies were Cecilia Smith and Don Oke.
MR. AND MRS. WILLIAM BENNETT
Sharon Dorothy Alice Rader and William John Bennett were
married April 29 at Zion Lutheran Church, Dashwood by Rev.
M. Mellecke. The matron of honour was Mrs. Susan Rader
and bridesmaids were Elaine Marchand, Brenda Miller and
Jackie Handley. Flowergirls were Tina deNiet and Stacey
Rader. The best man was William Dauber and guests were
ushered by Walter Dutton, Paul Rader and Lorenzo Cividino.

Rec softball league
starts season
The Zurich Recreation
Softball League began
operation recently with the
same six teams taking part.
Entering teams for the
upcoming season are the
defending champions
Pontiacs, the Oilburners,
Patz, the Sunsets Shaws and
the D -J's. .
League spokesman Jim
Bedard said a draft of
available player's has been
held and that several trades
are in the works. One deal
which has been completed
sees Isidore Laporte of the
Sunsets going to Patz in
exchange for Don
Beauchamp and Andy
Durand.
The regular season is
expected to finish up in late
August. Games are played
Monday, Wednesday and
Friday evenings.
