IRVIN RADER DASHWOOD Fifteen members of Zion Lutheran church Lutheran Women's Missionary League attended the Spring Rally at Berea by the Water Lutheran church, Goderich on Monday. The theme was, "Lift Thine Eyes, Behold My People", Guest speaker was Rev. Paul Pollex, St. Thomas, former missionary to India. He spoke on the use made of the LWML mites and his experiences there in India. Those attending were Mrs. Arnold Becker, Mrs. Esther Salmon, Mrs. Charles Martene, Mrs. Maggie Nadiger and Helen, Mrs, Florence Keller, Mrs. Frieda Keller, Vera Horner, Mrs. Hilda Wein, Mrs. Delmar Miller, Mrs. Albert Miller, Mrs. Bill Becker, Mrs. Barb Mcisaac and Pastor and Mrs. Mellecke. Guests of Zurich Twenty-three members of Zion Lutheran church Ladies' Aid and Pastor Mellecke were guests of Zurich Lutheran church Women Tuesday evening. Special guests were Mr. and R. K. Talk about mothers Calvary United church Women held their May meeting Tuesday. The theme was ;`Mothers". The World Outreach group was in charge with convener, Mrs. Mildred Kellerman. The meeting opened with a chorus "Cum by Ya". Judy Mason sang "What a Friend we have in Mother", Mrs. Don Geiser read "Honor Thy Mother" followed by a poem, "Our Dear Moms". Mrs. E. R. Guenther read the scripture followed by prayer. She also read a poem, "Old Fashioned". Reverend Bruce Guy spoke on the book, "The Life of Dr. McClure" former moderator of the United church in Canada. Mrs. Gordon Bender, president, conducted the .business. A draw for Mother was won by Mrs. Letta Taylor. Sunshine Committee is Mrs. Syd Baker and Mrs. Stuart Wolfe. Mrs. Keller- , man read a letter from Andriane, sponsored girl in Tai -Ti. The meeting closed with the Mizpah Benediction. Personals Several from Dashwood attended the wedding reception of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Rader at Tavistock Community Centre Friday evening. Jim is the son , of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Rader, Stratford. Mr. & Mrs. Stuart Wolfe attended the baptism of their granddaughter, Christy Lynn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eric Wolfe at Riverside United church, London, Sunday, and spent the day with the Wolfe family. Mrs. Ernest Koehler and Mrs. Ervin Eckstein are patients in Victoria Hospital, London, where they both underwent surgery. Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Earl Guenther were Mr. and Mrs. Grant Stickney, Stratford, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Godkin, Becky and Julie Anne, London. Mr. & Mrs, Fred Miller and girls, Zion; and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Rader, London, were dinner guests, Sunday, with Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Rader. Guests with Mr. & Mrs. Dave Rader, Stacey and Derek, were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Scott and boys, Crediton, Mr, and Mrs. Jim Glavin, Amy and Jody, Crediton; Mr. and Mrs. Bob Heywood and Lynette, Centralia and Richard and Susan Denomme and family.
