We watched you suffer, we watched you die, But all we could do, was just stand by; When the time came, we suffered too For you never deserved what you went through. God took your hand and we had to part He eased the pain and broke our hearts; You fell asleep without goodbye But memories of you will never die. Your resting place, we visit And place your flowers with care; No one knows the heartache When we walk away and leave you there.
