Golden Glimpses
The robins and spring
birds have returned but the
ice' on the lake and the few
snow banks that are still
around keep the winds cold.
Films were shown on
Monday evening followed by
refreshments.
The regular monthly
meeting of the Blue Water
Rest Home Auxiliary was
held on Tuesday evening
commencing with - a
programme for the residents
in the dining room, Miss
Mary Frances Fleming sang
and was accompanied on the
accordion by her sister,
Angela. Mrs. Ina.Neeb gave
a humorous reading. Mr.
Clare Masse and Mr.
Max Ducharme playing their
guitar and violin livened up
the programme with several
old tyme musical numbers.
Following the programme a
social time and delicious
lunch was enjoyed.

Mrs. Shirley Luther led
the Sunday Evening Song
Service sponsored by the
South Huron Christian
Women's Club. Mr. Luther
accompanied at the organ.
The Huronview orchestra
provided the music on Mon-
day afternoon in the normal
care sitting -room., Andrew
Doig of Seaforth was
welcomed to the Home.
The Old Tyme Dance Club
of Clinton provided the
entertainment for Family
Night. The dance club has a
membership of 30 couples
and they meet every other
Friday night during the
winter months in the Orange
Hall, Clinton. Gladys Van
Egmond and Elgin Nott
provided the music and Gor-
don Papple does the calling.
They danced the French.
minuet, the waltz, country,
square dances, the heel -toe
polka, waltzes and two
steps. Mrs. Milton Wiltsie
thanked the Club on behalf
of the residents.
Ten members of the Craf-
ty Critters 4-H Club of Clin-
ton and their leaders,
Susanne Brandon and
Dorothy Bougher, along
with the regular volunteers,
assisted with the
wheelchairs.

ternoon, April 14 at 2:00 p.m.

people of the surrounding

Friday afternoon some of
the residents enjoyed their
first bus ride of the spring
season.
Bingo was played on
Friday evening followed by
refreshments.
Residents out visiting
during the week were Mrs.
Mabel Gossman and Mrs.
Mary Sturley.
The Sunday evening
chapel service was con-
ducted by Reverend Andrew
Blackwell of St. Peters
Lutheran Church, Zurich.
Miss Christine Haberer
presided at the organ during
the service.
Huronview
Twenty-five members of
the Over Ninety Club met on
Wednesday afternoon and
enjoyed an hour of old-tyme
music provided by the
Huronview Orchestra.
Readings were given by
. Miss Jackson and a visitor
of the Club, Miss Bertha
Deihl. The Walkerburn Club
volunteers assisted with the
