The regular meeting of
Lutheran Church Women
was held on. Tuesday with
Mrs. G. Hess, Mrs. F. Moore
and Mrs. E. Flaxbard
leading in devotions. They
presented as part of their
topic the film from the
Triennial convention which
was held in Washington last
August and a short outline
with slides on the work of the
Auxiliary at Waterloo
Seminary which meets only
once each year.
Mrs. I3. Deichert lead the
business part of the meeting,
roll call was answered by
naming books of the New
Testament.
Quills donated
to hospital
On Monday the Zurich
Women's Institute held their
annual "Quilting Bee."
Members of group two with
Mrs. L. Prang in charge of
the quilting, while the
monthly committee, con-
sisting of Mrs. A. Pfile, Mrs.
R. Fisher, Mrs. C. Gelinas
and Mrs. M. Daerr, prepared
the evening meal. There
were 19 visitors assisting at
the quilts.
Several crib quilts were
made most of these will be
donated to the War
Memorial Children Hospital.
One large quilt was sewn.
A short business meeting
was held in the evening.
Members of the 1978,
nominating committee will
be, Mrs. E. Consitt, Mrs. M.
Hess and Mrs. M. McKinnon.
