IRVIN RADER DASHWOOD The United Church Women of Calvary United Church held their Thankoffering meeting Tuesday, with the Stewardship, Finance and Leadership Development group in charge with Mrs. Bruce Guy convener. Following a short poem and prayer .Idella Gabel favoured with a piano solo. Mrs. Don Weigand sang a solo, "Calvary Conquered My Heart." In an appropriate setting, with the lights off and the cross illuminated, Mrs. Hugh Boyle read a poem "I am'a Prisoner of Hope." Mrs. Bill Chandler led in responsive reading, "The Good Shepherd," followed by prayer by Mrs. Sid Neeb. "The Grace of having enough" was read by Mrs. Letta Taylor. Mrs. Guy gave the definition of Steward- ship, finance and leadership. The president, Mrs. Gordon Bender, conducted the business and brought the meeting to a close. A donation of $10 was made to Bunny Bundle. Six crib quilts have been completed. Several projects were discussed but tabled for the next meeting. Lilies are to be purchased for Easter. Read announced this week that his firm has merged with G. H. Ward & Partners, an accounting firm which has over 80 partners and 43 offices in operation across Ontario, The merger was effective on March 15. Read, who became suc- cessor to Banghart, Kelly .Doig and Company earlier this year, will be the resident partner and the manager of. the Exeter office is John McNeilly. In addition to the provincial partnership, G. H. Ward is represented nationally by Ward, Mallette & Co. and internationally through Binder Seidman International. A resident of Grand Bend, Read joined Banghart, Kelly, Doig & Co. in their Exeter office in 1973, after several years in hospital administration work. He noted that the biggest advantage of the merger of his firm with G. H. Ward & Partners would be in the type of service they could provide for clients.
