Area seniors will visit
Dashwood group

Dashwood Senior Citizens
held their meeting last
Monday_ with 35 in at-
tendance. President, Mer-
vyn Tieman presided. The
star membership of the
Ontario Organization was
displayed. A Memoriam
book is to be purchased. Tea
towels are to be donated by
members. The quilt is
finished and tickets will soon
be available from members.
Bayfield and Grand Bend
members will be guests at
the March meeting.
Group one with Mrs. Ken
McCrae chairlady, was in
charge of the program.
Following a sing song, a film
on Niagara Falls was shown.
Members were very
disappointed at the condition
of the film. The projector
will be available to other
organizations under
supervision. Carol and
Barbara Rader provided
musical numbers. Cards
were played.
Guest speaker
The fourth meeting of
Dashwood 4-11 girls was held
on Monday at the Dashwood
Community Centre. All the
girls answered the roll call,
"An important rule for
babysitters". The girls
decided to call themselves
"Crafty Canadians." Jim
Hoffman of the Hoffman
Ambulance Service was
guest speaker and gave the
girls tips on how to act in
time of emergency. The next
meeting will be March 6.
Dashwood Men's club held
their monthly dinner
meeting Monday with area
farmers as their guests. Two
draws were made for
sausage and poultry and the
winners were Albert Rader
and Lloyd Willert. Money
raised from this was added
to and $100 was raised for
Bunny Bundle.
Guest speaker Gene
Sellus, manager of the Royal
Bank, Exeter, told of the
agricultural financial ser-
vices available to farmers.

son of Mr. & Mrs. Jamie
Regier was baptized in Mt.
Carmel Catholic church,
Sunday, February 26, by
Rev. Richard Charrette.

Return from hospital
Alex Becker, who is
confined to St. Joseph's
hospital, London, having
suffered a heart attack, is
improving and expected
home this weekend. Jim
Becker has returned home
from St. Joseph's hospital.
