Golden Glimpses
This happens to have been
one of those weeks when
extra activities throughout
the home has been at an all
time low. However, the sun
is shining and one of these
days spring will be in the air
and residents/Will be able to
get out in the bus and enjoy
the wonders of spring.
Films were enjoyed on
Monday evening `ii ollowed by
refreshments. Thanks to the
Huron County Library, we
have been able to get talking
books for some of our
residents whose sight has
become very dull and they
are unable to read them-
selves. We are sure these
books will prove to be a great
past time for these people.
No doubt you have noted
the list of movies in last
week's paper to be shown

would affect the students
applying to university or
community college Wooden
replied "no", as these in-
stitutions would already
have first terms marks and
that some other form of
evaluation for the remainder
of the year would be devised.
Unless the two sides make
a move to reach a settlement
on their own, the province
will have to force binding
arbitration.
Sam McKeowh, field
service director for the
provincial education
relations committee (ERC),
said the committee cannot
consider arbitration until at
least March 8, 21 days after
the teachers' first strike
action..
Even the ERC doesn't
have to order the teachers
back into the classroom until
it feels the students'
education is endangered.
- McKeown said the ERC is
keeping a close watch on the
dispute.

hoped that the members will
come to the meeting
prepared to take part in the
discussion.
At present the Auxiliary
have a quilt up and will
,welcome any quilters.
Bingo was shown on
Saturday evening followed
by refreshments.
The Sunday . evening
chapel service was con-
ducted by Rev. Andrew
Blackwell of St. Peter's
Lutheran Church, " Zurich.
Miss Viola Cad ger presided
at the organ during the
service.
