Combines edge home squad
The Hensall Combines
scored an 8-6 victory over
the Zurich Flyers Sunday
night in a regularly schedul-
ed South Huron in-
termediate hockey league
game.
The game was close from
start to finish with only one
goal separating the two
clubs most of the way.
Although, the Combines
jumped in front with three
goals in the first half of the
first period, the' Zurich club
bounced back with three
goals of their own in less
than five minutes.
Rick Ingram opened the
Hensall scoring at 3.50 as he
converted a pass from
Wayne Corbett and Corbett
made it 2-0 on a three-way
combination with Bill
Chipchase and Brian
Campbell.
The third Hensall score
came from the stick of
Lloyd Allan on a pass from
Sandy Ingram.
Steve Bedour fired two of
the first three goals for the
Flyers. The first came on
passes from Kim McKinnon
and Marty Becker and the
second was the result of a
pass from Becker.
Lloyd Allan chalked up his
second goal. for Hensall late
in the first frame to put his
club ahead 4-3 at the first
rest.

The scoring pace slowed
down in the second period
with each team hitting the
mark on only one occasion...
Ron Desjardine was the
marksman for the Flyers on
a three-way effort with
Kevin McKinnon and Pat
Bedard while Terry
Caldwell replied for Hensall
on a solo dash.
Hensall outscored the
Flyers three goals to two in
the final 20 minutes of play
to gain the victory.
Rick Ingram scored with
the assist going to .Fred
Campbell for the Combines
at 11.28 and Kim McKinnon
counted for Zurich only 13
seconds later on a pass from
Rick Grenier.
Two goals in a space of 55
seconds sealed the Hensall
victory. Lloyd Allan hit for

Two thefts and one act of
vandalism are being in-
vestigated by the Exeter
OPP this week.
Both thefts were reported
on Friday, one involving
about $2,000 worth of
motorcycle parts taken from
Andy's Cycle Shop on con-
cession 13, Stephen. The
business is owned by Andy
Wieckowski.
The thieves made off with
transmissions, front forks
and an engine.
The theft is being in-
vestigated by OPP Constable
Frank Giffin.
The other theft involved
$885 worth of stereo equip-
ment taken from a mobile
home on concession 6,
Stephen. The home is owned
by 'Kim Bedford, RR 1 St.
Marys.
Over the weekend, vandals
bashed in a rear window in a
vehicle parked at Huron
Motor Products in Zurich.
Damage was listed at $150.
That incident and also the
stereo theft is being in-
vestigated by Constable Bill
Osterloo.
