Church, Goderich was chair-
man for the annual meeting.
Mrs. Robert Taylor was
secretary. Rev. Royal open-
ed the meeting. The minutes
of the last meeting were
read and adopted. Mr. Bert
Thompson, Clerk of the Ses-
sion reported for the session
and stated that Rev. Verne
Tozer of St. Marys is the in-
terim moderator. The chair -

Glimpses
Socially speaking, this was
a wonderful week for the
residents with so many
activities taking place. It
certainly helped to vanish
the winter blues.
On Monday evening the
Zurich Women's Institute
sponsored the February
birthday. The programme
consisted of piano solos by
Derek Martin, Darcy Martin
sang and accompanied
himself on the ukulele,
Lorrie Turkheim and
Shannon Smale sang a duet,
The Lesperance Trio, con-
sisting of Ed and Donna
Lesperance and Gordon
Bleck provided music and
Mrs. Ruby Neeb and Mrs.
Beatrice Geiger gave
readings. Residents having
birthdays during the month
of February are Mrs. Willa
Brock, Mrs. Rebecca Clarke,
Mrs. Ida Eccleston, Mrs.
Irla Gingerich, Mrs. Agnes
McDougall, Mr. Eldon
Ortwein, Mrs. Elizabeth
Thompson and Mr. Fred
Weiberg. Birthday gifts were
presented, courtesy of the
ladies auxiliary, and a
delicious lunch was served.
On Tuesday evening, the
Ladies Auxiliary held their
regular monthly meeting
commencing with a
programme in the dining
man of the Board of
managers Mr, Jim Love
reported for the board.
The treasurer's report
was given by Clarence
Volland and the choir report
by Mrs. Bertha MacGregor.
The Arnold Circle report
was adopted by Mrs. Al
Hoggarth. Mrs. Harvey
Hyde reported for the
W.M.S.; Mrs. Clarence
Volland for the Cradle
report and the ladies' Aid.
Cromhenex Financial
report was presented by Jim
Love. The 1978 budget was
discussed. Three members
were elected for the Board
of Managers for three
years: John Baker, Bertha
MacGregor, Helen Thiel.
Salary and negotiations
committee: Mrs. Harvey
Hyde, Clerk of Session Bert
Thompson, and Chairman of
the Board of Managers.
Trustees Al Hoggarth, Bert
Thompson. auditors Mr. and
Mrs. Percy Campbell.
A vote. of thanks was ex-
tended to the organists Miss
Brenda Pepper and Mrs.
Robert Taylor and Mr. and
Mrs. Clarence Volland for
their services by Mrs. Agnes
Madge. At the close of the
meeting refreshments were
served and a social hour en-
joyed.
Annual meeting
The annual meeting of
Chiselhurst United Church
was held Friday evening
following a congregational
supper and a sing -song.
Reports of the year were
room. The Leandre Bedard
family provided a
programme of music and tap
dancing which was very
much enjoyed. Following the
programme, refereshments
were served and the
auxiliary adjourned to the
Board room for the business
part of their meeting.
On Wednesday afternoon,
six students from a Com-
munity College in Camrose,
Alberta,who are touring
Canada under the Canadian
Lutheran Bible Institute
visited the Home and sang
and visited with the
Residents, making the af-
ternoon a pleasant one.
We regret that Mrs. Willa
Brock is a patient in South
Huron Hospital, Exeter.
On Wednesday evening,
films were shown followed
by refreshments.

crocheted and quilted knee
wraps to be used by the
residents. Bingo was played
on Friday evening, followed
by refreshments.
On Sunday morning, the
Zurich Mennonite Choir
visited the home and
provided several musical
numbers.
On Sunday afternoon, the
members of the Zurich
Conservative Mennonite
Church provided several
musical numbers for the
residents.
The Sunday evening
chapel service was con-
ducted by Reverend Stuart
Miner of Exeter.
Miss Viola Cadger
presided at the organ during
the service.

Chiselhurst U.C.4b11.
Following a morning of
quilting and a pot luck
dinner the U.C.W. of
Chiselhurst United Church
held their February meeting
with president Mrs. Jack
Brintnell in charge. Mrs.
Ross Riley conducted
Worship on "Meditation".
The roll call was answered
by fourteen members
reading the 21st chapter of
St. John verses 1-19. Mrs.
Harold Parker gave an
educational and interesting
talk on this chapter of the
Bible. Mrs. Ted Stoneman
gave a poem "The Month of
Valentines."
President Mrs. Jack
Brintnell gave an interesting
report of the Presbyterial
held in Mitchell. The
meeting closed with the
Benediction and Mrs. Rosa
Harris was hostess for the
social hour.
Hensall 4-H
The first meeting of
Hensall I 4-H was held at the
home of Mrs. Gerstenkorn.
The club is Focus on Living.
The main topic was "It's
your life". There were 11
girls in attendance.
The roll call was "What
does 4-H mean to me?" This
was answered in various
ways by all. Following the
election of officers Mrs.
Gerstenkorn and Mrs.
Mellenger completed the
meeting. It was decided the
next regular meeting would
be held on February 14 at
the home of Mrs. Mellenger.
Personals
Mr. and Mrs. Gerrard
O'Rourke of Ottawa spent
the week -end with the
latter's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Alex Munn.
Edgar Munn who has been
a patient in South Huron
Hospital for the past several
weeks returned to his home
on Saturday.
Cameron Henry of London
spent his week -end at his
home here.
Joe Ferguson returned to
his home after spending
several weeks with
members of his family.
WI host seniors
Last Monday, the senior
citizens of the Blue Water
Rest Home, was entertained
by the Zurich Women's
Institute. The members of
the Committee in charge
was Mrs. H. Neeb, Mrs. J.
Dietrich, with Mrs. William
Lawrence as Chairlady.
The residents and visitors
enjoyed musical numbers by
Darcy and Derek Martin,
and songs by Shannon
Smale, and Lori.Finkbeiner.
Mr. and Mrs. E. Lesperance
and Mr. Gordon Bloch,
played and sang several
musical numbers.
Humorous poems were read
by Mrs. H. Neeb, and Mrs.
N. Geiger.
Birthday cake and ice
cream -was served by the
members of group 1, with
Mrs. H. Smith convening.
The annual "Quilting
Bee" will be held in the Hay
Township Hall, on March 6.
Refreshments will be served
for the evening meal.
A dinner will be held,
April 6, at 6:30, at the
Pineridge Chalet, to honor
the 75th anniversary of the
South Huron Women's
Institutes. Any member
wishing tickets for same,
may contact Mrs. L. Klopp.
Mrs. W. Neeb was elected
as delegate to attend the Of-
ficers Convention. to be held
at the University of
Waterloo from May 2 to 4.
