HENSALL NEWS Malcolm McEwen, Calgary is spending a few weeks holidays with his parents Mr. & Mrs. Hugh McEwen. Mrs. Elizabeth Riley returned home after holidaying in Florida. Burt Coleman returned 'to London after spending the weekend with his mother Mrs. Galdys Coleman and brother Ivan. Mr. & Mrs. Glen Harburn and Mrs. Madeline Harburn have returned home followinga two weeks' vacation in Florida. Rev. Fox conducted service in Carmel Presbyterian Church Sunday continuing his series of messages from the gospel of Luke. His Theme being "The Boy Jesus in the Temple." The flowers in the church were placed in loving memory of the late Mrs. Earl Gass by her family. William Smale who was receiving treatment in South Huron Hospital Exeter returned to his home last week. Mrs. Stewart Blackwell returned to her home last week following treatment in St. Joseph's Hospital, London. A cigarette so small that you can barely smoke it is aptly called "Lilliput." Galbraith beloved wife of G. Earl Gass of Hensall passed away in her 47th year. Mother of Miss Brenda Gass Hensall and daughter of Wilfred Galbraith, Grand Valley. Predeacesed by one son and two daughters. Also surviving are four brothers Laverne Galbraith, Shelburne; Earl Galbraith, Walkerton; Herman Galbraith Shelburne; Trueman Galbraith, Grand Valley. Four sisters Mrs. Mrs. Norman (Beverly) Trudgeon, Dundalk; Mrs. Robert (Lilla) Wade, Palmerston; Mrs. Robert (Audrey) Carr, Emsdale; Mrs. Jack (Ada) Henderson, Arthur and one grandchild survive. Funeral service was held from the Bonthron Funeral Home Hensall Saturday January 14 with Rev. Bryce Taylor, Guelph, officiating. Pallbearers at the funeral of the late Mrs. Earl Gass were Ken Clarke, Leonard Hoffman, Glen Cooper, Don Hoffman, Ted Thuss, Frank Cooper. Temporary entombment in Pioneer Memorial Maus oleum,Seaforth. Burial later in Maitland Bank Cemetery Seaforth. Personals Mr. & Mrs. Francis Harburn and Mrs. Madeline Harburn have returned from a pleasant trip to Florida. Mrs. Elizabeth Riley and Miss Cheryl Riley returned from a two week visit to Tampa, Florida last Tuesday in the blizzard but drove through the storm from Toronto to Mitchell.
