Flyers loose two close games last week
The Zurich Flyers came
out on the short end of two
close games this week
losing to the Goderich
Sailors on Thursday evening
9-7 and to Hensall Sunday, 5-
4.
In the Thursday game the
Flyers struck with goals with
Steve Bedour and Kim
McKinnon. Goderich scored
late in the first.
The Flyers took a com-
manding 4-1 lead as Ron
Rader and Kevin McKinnon
found the mark before
Goderich came back with
two goals of their own.
In the third period, Zurich
goals by Kim McKinnon and
Ron Rader with two each
and a single effort by Dave
Cyr upped the Flyer's
margin. a
The Sailors scored six
goals in the third for a come
from behind victory.
In Sunday's game against
Hensall, Brian Campbell did
most of the damage against
the Flyers as he scored three
goals and picked up two
assists.
Hensall scored first with
only 53 seconds elapsed in
the game as Campbell
scored from Terry Caldwell
and Dan Taylor,
Midway through the
period„ Steve Bedour tied
the game with an assist from
Rick Grenier.
Campbell came back 10
seconds later to put Hensall
back in front. Caldwell and
Bill Chipchase assisted.

for Zurich in the last period.
The local squad had a close
call in the second game of
the tournament as they
edged Alvinston 5-4 in
overtime.
Oldtimers win
first Outing
The Zurich Oldtimers had
a very successful initial
outing as they defeated the
London Oldtimers 9-6.
In the first period, London
scored first but Zurich came
back with two goals by Dick
Bedard and George Suplat.
In the second period
Zurich out -scored London 3-2
as Dick Bedard, Eric Smale
and Doug O'Brien scored for
the home team.
In the third period, Dick
Bedard scored his third and
fourth goals of the evening
with Bob Johnston and Don
O'Brien notching singles.
The Oldtimer's would like
to thank the game officials,
Richard Schilbe and Kevin
Alvinston scored first with McKinnon and score -keepers
only 21 seconds elapsed in Bob Kirk and Bruce Robson
for the donation of their time

minutes remaining Caldwell
scored the winning goal for
Hensall as Chipchase and
Campbell assisted.
The Flyers next scheduled
action is tonight against the
same Hensall team.
