A quartet was composed of Ron Mock, Don Travers; Doug Mock and Harry Horton. A yellow CELEBRATE ANNIVERSARY — Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McLellan, Seaforth celebrated their 50th wedding anniver- sary, Friday night at the Pineridge Chalet. They were married January 7th, 1928, at the Kippen United Church manse.Mrs, McLellan is the former Edna Strong. They have a daughter, Mrs. Clarence (L -is) Ducharme of Kitchener and Ken McLellan of Kippen and four grandchildren. The couple farmed for some time in Tuckersmith township. Mr. McLellan was ex - played for 25 years with General Coach and Bendix Home Systems in Hensall before retiring to their present home in Seaforth. T -A photo. Visitors with Boxes token to shut-ins Noble Grand Mrs. Maggie Campbell presided at the meeting of Amber Rebekah Lodge Wednesday evening assisted by Mrs. Aldeen Volland R.S.V.G. Mrs. Margaret Consitt L.S.N.G. reported for the C.P.T. stating the boxes had been delivered to shut-ins at Christmas and a euchre party will be held January 19 following the I.O.O.F. meeting. Mrs. Maggie Campbell. reported for the visiting committee. A discussion arose over the "birthday party" to be held in February, It was decided to finalize arrangements at the next regular meeting January 18. Following the meeting an exchange of gifts were made and the "secret pals" revealed. Refreshments were served in the lower hall and a social hour enjoyed by all. Happenings Louise Mitchell were Leslie Mitchell, Betty and Verna Coates, Jean Miends, Jim and Bob Parker and Mrs. Robert Parker. Visiting Mrs. Adeline Taylor were Mr. & Mrs. Donald Taylor, and Mr. & Mrs. Ivan Taylor. Visitors with Russell Erratt were Helen, Bill and Mary Taylor, Percy and Clara Johnston, Frank and Mabel McLinchey. Mr. & Mrs. Sid Pullman of London visited Bernice Lavery. Mr. & Mrs. Robert Par- sons and Tracy visited Almeda Parsons. John and Iva Ridley, Mervin and Irene Dunn visited Vera Lamrnie. Visitors with Mrs. Beer were Edna Werner, Thelma Russell and Mr. &Mrs.Ban Rodwell. Visiting Mrs. Mabel Johns were Mary Neil and Howard Johns. Mrs. Kendrick was visited by Ruth, Pete, Nancy and Susan Durand. Visitors with Sarah Arthur were Humphrey and Ruth Arthur, Marion Switzer and Edna Simmons. Visitors with Irene Kalbfleisch were Violet Bishop, Joan Betteridge. mum wasplaced church in loving memory of Mrs. Alda Simmons by her family. The regular meeting of Unit 4 of Hensall U.C.W. was held on Thursday and opened with inspirational thoughts for the New year, given by Mrs. James McAllister. The devotional was given by Mrs. Russell Erratt with reference to Psalm 27 Verse 14. Mrs. McAllister in- troduced the study book* New missions for new people. She pointed out all 0 the islands which make the Caribbean Crescent and also the different countries which govern the different islands. The program consisted of a New Years Psalm read by Mrs. Carl Britton and two piano numbers by Mrs. William Rogerson. Unit 4 ladies made 25 visits to sick and shut-ins during December. 14 members answered the roll call. The meeting closed with the Mizpah benediction, Mrs, Laird Mickle and her committee served lunch. Personal past Tuesday was postponed The Hensall minor Athletic until next Tuesday. Society meeting scheduled Rev.
