IPS students describe Christmas
SNO JETTING
(by Robert WI.11ert)
Zooming through the snow
On a nifty blue Sno-Jet,
Up and down we go,
Jumping creeks so wet.
Motors hum and roar,
Climbing hills so high,
What fun it is to bounce and
soar
O'er all the drifts we try.
Sno-Jetting, Sno-Jetting,
Sno-Jetting is fun,
Oh what fun it is to ride
On a nifty blue Sno-Jet.

THE EVE OF CHRISTMAS
(by Karen Thornton)
Away in Bethlehem
In a stable,
In a manger,
Lie a baby
Wrapped in swaddling clothes.
There you see Mary,
And Joseph,
And shepherds
And wide men giving gifts to
him
While angels sing about.
He is here
The Lord!
The King!
The Saviour is born to men.

OLD ST. NICK
(by Deirdre Wallace)
Jolly Old St. Nick, merry
as can be,
Is coming round to our house
just for you to see
I see a little mouse,
Hiding in the tree,
He is saying to himself,
"I hope he isbringing some-
thing
>, gt g so e
thing for me."
"I left a piece of the best
cheese sitting on the shelf"
Even I am waiting for him to
come,
Bringin toys for girls and boys,
Even everyone.
(by Ellen Shephard, Brenda
Miller and Lisa Hamather)
Under the Christmas tree,
Are presents for me.
Big ones and small,
They must weight two tons.
Two from my sister and one
from my brother,
Four from my parents:
My father and mother
The biggest is mine,
I can't waste time
What is it? What is it?
Clothes for my dolls? I hope
they will fit. Grade VII
WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS TO
ME
Christmas is the time to be
gay and happy, because it is
the day Christ was born, and
you get gifts.
There are many ways to cel-
ebrate Christmas. To me
Christmas is the most import-
ant day because we wouldn't be
alive if it wasn't for Christ. It
is the day we should be thankful
we are alive. Christmas is
also fun for everyone. Presents
are given and food is served.
Children play and parents talk.
We go to church and sing some
carols. On Christmas morning
we get up early to open pres-
ents. We our always pleased
what we get, and that's what
Christmas means to nie.

WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS TO
ME
Lots of people think that
Christmas is just a time to get
presents. I think Christmas is a
time that you give things like
the Wisemen gave gifts to
Baby Jesus. The true meaning
of Christmas is that the Saviour
was born. When He was thirty-
three he died to save our sins.
s
That i what Christmas means
to me. On Christmas Eve I
usually go to church to have our
Sunday School Program. We
have a Mary and a Joseph and
a Baby Jesus. Each class has
their own parts .

WHATCl R 3 ISTMAS MEANS TO
ME
(by Mark Heinrich)
• The true meaning of Christ-
mas is Christ's birth. God
d
needed theearth to calm down
so he sent a king to us. But
today we know Christmas as an
occasion for everyone to enjoy.
Every Christmas people give
and receive presents. And then
thier is a big dinner. Usually
friends and relatives get togeth-
er and celabrate this joyous
occasion. Christmas means a
lot to everyone, it is the tine
of year when their is lots of
happiness. On Christmas morn-
ing people get up and open the
gifts they have received.

WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS TO
ME
(by Kathy Love)
Christmas is a day that every-
one likes. It is a time for giv-
ing and receiving.
This day means a lot to me
because when you sit down to
eat that dinner, do you ever
think of other people? I Meat}
the people that are poor and
have no hones. You should
only ask Santa to take those
children or people what they
asked for and to anal<e thein
happy.
When you give or ask to
give you'll always receive.
Remember this saying and
Santa will know what you want
deep down in your Heart and he
will give you many other things
beside that. Grade V
