On Sunday afternoon an Atom team from South London visited the local arena and played against the Zurich crew. Huronview news Mrs. Eric Luther of Hensall led the Christian Women's Club song service on Sunday evening. Mr. Eric Luther played the organ for the singing of Carols with a Christmas poem by Pearl Erratt and a vocal duet by Mrs. Britton and Mrs. Luther. The Bayfield volunteers visit- ed the Home on Monday to assist with the afternoon's activ- ities. Mrs. Myrtle Parker, Norman Speir aril Jerry Collins provided the old tyme music with two numbers by the Huron - view Rythin Band. Bruce and Susan Cann, Lele and Estelle Finkbeiner, Milford Prouti and Mrs. Jean Triebner provided special numbers for the Tuesday afternoon bible story conducted each week by Mrs. Prouti of Exeter. Twenty-five members of the Over 90 club met on Wednesday. Following the program of carol singing, recitations and readings lunch was served in the dining roan, Zurich Peewees win and tie (by Dan Turkheiin) The Zurich Peewees played three games last week winning two and tied the third. Their two victories were taken over Hensall on Wednesday and Sar- urday. in the first 'game rhe Zurich en ,+ trounced Ilensall 12 to 1 after giving up the first goal. Itensali's first goal was scored by Vanstone on an assist from Sangster. Kerry and Eris 13edard brought the locals back into the lead each scoring once. Len Van Wonderen and Jeff McKinnon also rallied once in the first period while Kerry Bedard scored his second goal, giving Zurich a 5-1 lead. Second period goals were scored by Robert Willert, Kerry and Kris Bedard. In the third period Greg Kirk and Kerry Bedard each scored once while Robert Willert scored his second and third goals to give Zurich their 12-1 victory. ZURICII 10 - HENSALL 1 Zurich Peewees defeated Hensall again last Saturday by a score of 10-1. In the first period Robert and Jim Willert each scored once while second period goals went to Kerry and Kris Bedard. In the third period Zurich scorers were Jiin and Robert Willert, Kris Bedard, and Mike Haggitt, while Jeff McKinnon scored twice. Robert Mann scor- ed Hensall's only goal. ZURICH 4 - EAST LONDON 4 The Zurich Peewees played an exhibition game against East London last Sunday with the game ending in a 4-4 tie. Zurich took a two to one lead in the first period on goals from Jim Willett and Kerry Bedard. Jeff Humas scored the first goal for London.
