Mr. and Mrs. Gary Potter and Merry, R.R.3, Clinton spent Sunday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Jack B. Sturgeon. Mrs. Fred Mote and Mrs. Violet Sturgeon visited In Lond- on on Monday. Mrs. Bertha Turner and Mr. and Mrs. Fraser Stirling and Jerry, Goderich Township visited with the former's sister Mrs. Milton Pollock, Goshen Line on Thursday. Mr. Bernard F. Sturgeon, Orangeville was with his par- ents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacl< B. Sturgeon on Monday while on a business trip to the Sarnia area, Mrs. Jack Sturgeon and Mrs. Walter Erickson enjoyed a days shopping trip to London on Friday and also visited the latter's sister; Mrs. Norma Three more contest Winners; final on Friday Three more winners were drawn this week in the Seek Santa Contest currently under. way in the Citizens News. They are Mrs. Elizabeth Riley, of Hensall, Mrs. Gerald O'Rourke, of Zurich, and Mrs. Wallace Gingerich, R.R.2, Zurich. The final draw in this series, and ':he big draw for $50 in merchandise vouchers, will take place on Friday afternoon at 4 p. in. All persons wishing to have an entry in for the final drawing crust have thein into the Citizens News office no later than four o'clock on Friday afternoon. Names of the final winners will appear in the Christmas edition of the Citizens News. Stewart who is a patient in St. Joseph's Hospital and the former' great nephew, Bradley Gemein- harclt, who is also confined to St. Joseph's Hospital. Miss Winnie Armstrong, George Brown College, Toronto, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Ms. W.D. Armstrong and family, R.R.3, Bayfield. LIONS BINGO Friday evening, December 13, the Bayfield Lions Club held their Annual Turkey Bingo in the Community Centre and reported a successful event. Lucky turkey winners were Mrs. Grace O'Hara, Marilyn Haw, Bob O'Hara, Fred Tel- ford (2), Mattie Francis, Den- ise Orr (3), Mrs. John Wild, Berthena Hammond, Lena Keone Crystal Huffman, Lena Ervine, all of Bayfield; Edna Elliott, Barb Chapman, Mrs. Stan Tel- ford, Joyce Baechler, (2). all of Goderich and Mary, Boyce, of Vanastra. Share the wealth games were won by Mrs. Elliott, Goderich ($20) Bob O'Hara, Bayfield ($20); Tiny Bedard, Goderich and Marg Talbot, Bayfield split and won $11. each and Mrs. Marion Castle, Clinton and Mrs. Ernie Fisher, Goderich, split and each received $12.50, CUB PACK Thursday evening last the parents of the cubs of first Bayfield Pack were invited to attend the investiture of seven boys into the Pack. Cub leader Allan Yates assisted by Carol Fisher invested John Garrett, Richard Grillmayer, Shawn Carrick, Leonard liealey, David Phoenix, Michael Clark and Bobby Dunn and presented them with their ties and woggles after the boys had repeated the Cub Law and Promise. Several game were enjoyed by all the cubs with the fathers participating. Akela Yates then named the sizers of each six. These boys are responsible for the neatness and conduct of their individual Six and in the event that a Sixer is not able to be present the seconder then takes over. Along with Akela Yates and Mrs. Fisher, Rick Penbale and James Armstrong assist with the Teller - Caapi r Training Course The Clinton Centre of Conestoga College is offering a 12 -week Training Program for Teller -Cashiers. This full- time program starts on Monday, January 6. You will receive training in the disbursing and receiving of money and related clerical duties that will enable you to function as a Teller -Cashier in chartered banks, trust companies, credit unions or other financial institutions. John Siertsema and Don Coup- er are busy conducting a Scout meeting while the Cub meeting goes on and in conversation with Mr. Siertsema we learned that they would welcome to their Scout Troop, any boys aged 12 to 14 years. They also iueet on Thursday, evening from 7 to 8:30 p.iu. in the Municipal Building. Akela announced that the Cub and Scouts ; .e planning a Carol Sing, Friday evening, Decemb- er 20 starting at G:30 p.iu. when they will ride around the village on a sleigh singing carols to the shut-ins and elder- ly. Following the singing they will meet at the Siertseuia houir for a party and gift exchange. A hike is also planned to the Bannochburn Conservation Area during Christmas week. The Ladies Auxiliary then served a delicious lunch after which an enjoyable evening was spent with the Cubs. TRINITY LADIES GUILD The December meeting of the Trinity Church Ladies Guild was hell Tuesday evening, December 10 in the Parish I -Is 11 with 12 members present. President, .Lrs. R. Roy Fitz- simons opened with a reading and a beautiful Christmas pray- er. Mrs. Bill Parker gave a reading on "The True Meaning of Christmas" and all the mem- bers repeated the Lord's Prayer in unison. Mrs. Fitzsimons thanked all who had helped with their bazaar and also the ladies who had worked on the velvet guilt and finished it. Secretary Mrs. L.W. Scot- chnier gave her report which ....was adopted. Many cards of thanks were read and moved for filing. Mrs. Fred Hulls, card and flower secretary reported on the get well cards and flowers that had been sent to the sick and shut-ins. Treasurer, Mrs. Morton lvlern- er, read her report and told us we had paid for one aluminum storm door and the kitchen windows in the Parish hall, We had a very successful TENDER TASTY .-: • MAPLE LEAF - TTN END bazaar and passed that all out- standing bills be paid before the end of the year. The Sunday School party will. be held on Sunday, Dec- ember 22 from 2 to 4 p.ui, spun sored by the guild. Several members paid their birthday looney. Officers for 1974 were all returned for 1975. The January meeting will be held in the Parish Hall on Tues- day, evening, January 14. The meeting was closed by the Rector and a pot luck luncheon of sandwiches, cookies and a cup of tea made a pleasant hour of friendship.
