Zurich Peewees
win, lose
The Zurich Peewees won a
game and lost one during last
week's activity. They lost a
close 3-2 decision to Mitchell
and then came back strong with
an 8-1 victory over Grand Bend;
Against MitcIEll neither team
scored in the first period, and
then they split a pair of second
session goals. Kerry Bedard was
the marksman for the locals.
Mitchell came through with
two big counters early in the
third period to register their
margin of victory. Before the
game ended, however, Kerry
Bedard flashed the red light for
the second time t� bring the
locals right back•into contention.
In the 8-1 victory over Grand
Bend, Jim Willert was the only
player to score more than one
goal as he blinked the red light
twice. Single goals were scored
by Len VanWonderen, Robert
Willert, Kerry Bedard, Jeff
McKinnon, Gerard Masse and
Kris Bedard.
The locals scored two in the
first, added three more in the
second and then registered three
more in the third session. F.
Kelders scored the lone goal for
Grand Bend in the third period.

resolution from the Township
of March to petition the Depart-
ment of Environment to encour-
age the use of returnable glass
and change all returnable cont-
ainers to the metric measure
immediately so that they may
be used at a later date, and ban
all non -refillable glass and met-
al containers.
Mrs. E. Eisler, of Goderich
is being asked to attend at a
public meeting at his conven-
ience to answer questions regard-
ing costs, etc., as an Animal
Control Officer.
Council will meet on January
6, 1975 for their inagural and
.regular meeting.
Mr and Mrs Ken Smale
St. Boniface Catholic Church, Zurich, was the setting of the
November 16 wedding uniting Sylvia Anne Wilder and Kenneth
Neil Smale. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lionel
Wilder, R.R.1, Zurich, and the groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs, Howard Smale, Hensall. Rev. Father A. Durand officiated.
Wanda Wilder was the maid of honour and bridesmaids were
Brenda Wilder and Susan Willert. Albert Rooseboom was best
man and groomsmen were Greg Campbell and Richard Willert.
Guests were ushered by Lionel Wilder Jr., and Paul Swale.

Hold up on
septic tanks
It is the annual practice of
the Health Unit to stop all
septic tank installations in the
county on or about December
15. Past experience has indic-
ated that tile beds installed
after this date show a high fail-
ure rate because of frozen or
saturated soil. This date is
flexible depending upon weath-
er conditions.
Exceptions can be ruadc in
cases where repairs to a systems
are necessary for the conven-
ience of the householder. 11ow-
ever, as a general rule, a 11 ue s
systems should be cor,tpietud
by December 15, or postponed
until spring.
