It would be a credit to Zurich to have Mr. Elsie a resident, and follow up his, line of work. The public schools and Sun- day schools are lining up for their Christmas concerts. The friends of James McGreg- or will be pleased to know that he continues to do as well as can be expected after being gored by a bull recently. Ivlilton Love, a former resid- ent of Hensall, is again moving into that village and will reside on Brock Street on the west side of the railway tracks. Hay Township council has received delivery of 12, 000 feet of snow fence, over two miles in all, which is being distributed around the township at points where it is expected it will do the most good. Zurich WI Christmas meeting The Zurich Women's Institute met on Monday night in the Flay Township hall for their Christmas meeting with 25 members present as well as an equal number of visitors as each member brought a guest. Mrs. Edwin Regier was welcomed as a new member of our institute, The hall was nicely decorated with a Christmas tree and dec- orations by the committee in charge. Mrs. Vince Doyle and son 1larl< as well as daughter Kelly provided several musical numb- ers on piano and guitar. Christmas carols were also sung and Mrs. Tetreau, an institute member agave two read- ings "The Ex-llclper" and "Christmas Joy." Our guest speaker was Miss Lee Ann Doyle who had visited Texas this past summer as a member of the Lions Internation- al Youth Exchange , She gave a very interesting account of her visit to Texas and Mexico as well as showing many souven- irs and literature she had obtain- ed on her visit there. After an exchange of gifts, lunch was served followed by the regular meeting. Mrs. Herb Neeb gave a report of the directors meeting she had attended the past week in llencall, Mts. T. Meyers and Mrs, W. Nceb reported on the Area conv- ention which they attended in Stratford. In the ccrrespondencc several Christmas greeting cards from our sister Institutes were read. A letter was also read regard- ing a tailoring; course in the spring of 1975 which is open to any interested ladies at no charge, Nantes to be submitted before December 31. Mrs, Lorne Klopp reported that the stun of $311. had been collc:ctucl in the recent canvass for the Rod Cross Society and thanked the Institute mem- bers who had canvassed. A donation of $15 was trade to Children's War Memorial Hospital in London. It was also arranged to prov- ide a lunch at noon for the girls attending Achievement Day at Zurich Public School on January 4.
