80TH BIRTHDAY
In honor of their mother's.
80th birthday the family of
Mrs. Mabel Gossman, widow
of William Gossman, held
Open House, Sunday, Decem-
ber 1, in Dashwood Community
Centre. She is the mother of
ten children, all were present
except one. They are, Garnet,
Windsor, Dolores Cornford,
London; Leonard, London,
Jean Fleming, Kitchener;
Sherwood, London; Clara Ann,
London; Harry and Ken, Kit-
chener; Martha MacLean,
Ohio; and Shirley Watson,
London. Martha was the only
one unable to come. There
are 23 grandchildren and
eight great grandchildren.
Also present for the occasion
were Mrs. Gossman's brother
and sister, Gordon Geiger and
Ida Snyder.
Mrs. Gossman has been a
resident of the Blue Water Rest
Home for almost two years.
Prior to this she lived in Dash-
wood where she attended Cal-
vary United church and was an
active member of the United
Church Women.
She was recipient of many
cards, gifts and flowers for
which she was greatful.

and Mrs. Robert Cornelious
and family.
Charles Marten is a patient
in St. Joseph's Hospital, Lon-
don, having suffered a heart
attack, Darlene Rader is also
a patient there.
Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Rader
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Patterson and Sarah, Saturday.
4-H GIRLS
The 4-1-1 girls, Club No.
III held their meeting at Mrs.
Miller's home with seven girls
present. They decided on a
joint meeting and party for the
mothers on December 4.
The leaders discussed differ-
ent types of dinners and the
girls made menus for what they
would serve at each. The girls
made cup cakes and iced each
one with an original design.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Rader
Bronson
Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Scot-
chmer, of the Bronson line,
entertained their family, Mr.
and Mrs. William Scotchmer
and son Wayne and Mr. and
Mrs. Donald Welsh, also Mr.
and Mrs, Fred LeBeau, to
celebrate the birthdays of Pam
Scotchmer and Helen LeBeau.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pen -
hale visited Mr. and Mrs.
Orval Greer last Friday at Sea -
forth.
